I’m 6’ and 250 and XL fit me fine.  They stretch a ton and I don’t want to be chasing them all round

Another vote for SParms sleeves. They have an oddly cooling effect to them when on. Thought I'd hate them, but love them.

 

Have used throughout high humidity summers in NC with no issues.

Saw the SParms at a PGASS and remembered this thread. Decided to buy them since I'm a constant sleeve/long-sleeve polos and was pleasantly surprised after 2 rounds. 

 

Definitely don't have to stress over keeping up sleeves and are actually very comfortable/cooling. Wear a medium in polos and the Large SParms are perfect.

Ordered some SParms the other day on the recommendations here. Can't wait to try them. I have a full sleeve (tattoo) on my left arm so I'm always conscious about keeping my arms covered/sunscreen whenever I have prolonged days outside.

Used the SParms for the first time this weekend. Thanks to those that recommended them! They are great! Very comfortable. Couldn't even tell I had them on. Even felt the cooling effect of having them on.

I ordered a couple pairs of the Sparms sleeves.  It is incredible how cool they feel if you get a bit of a breeze.  Not sure how darker colors would hold up but the white has been great so far.

Fwiw, I wore a navy blue pair Sunday in 90* temps; absolutely not a problem. Nothing like what a dark colored shirt would be.

I gave them a shot and really glad I did. Florida heat is rough but the Nike sleeves I’ve been wearing really have a cooling effect with even the slightest of breezes. I’m a believer now!

Fwiw, I committed to wearing sleeves or a Coolibar long sleeve T under my golf shirt last year, and I been religious about it for 18 months.    
 

I’ve been 6 month appts at the dermatologist for years now, and at my most recent appt a couple of weeks ago, I had ZERO pre-cancerous spots on my arms; the norm had been a half dozen or so that had to be frozen off.  That, combined with a wide brim SPF rated hat, has made a ton of difference.  
 

The biggest surprises with Sparms, though, have been the coolness and the reduction of issues with my hands needing to be dried off because of swear running down my arms.  As it turns out, my grandfather, who was a farmer, knew what he was doing when he NEVER worked outside in short sleeves.

I went with the sleeves about 7-8 years ago now and it has made playing in the summer almost bearable. 

 

There are limits. When the relative humidity gets into the 85% and up range (like 9am on an August morning when the temp is 80F and the dew point is 77F) the sweat can't evaporate from the sleeves and produce that cooling effect or keep it from running down onto your hands.

 

But I'll take being comfortable 90% of the time with a few miserable mornings thrown in versus being miserable all day long, all summer long like I was back when I was wearing short sleeve golf shoes plus sunscreen and bug spray slathered all over my sweat-dripping arms. Never going back.

Sparms website had a size guide that was very accurate for me.  Just measure the widest part of your bicep and checked the corresponding size on the chart.

Sparms run kind of short so most men have to size up (unisex sizing).

Probably very late to the party, but get them and don't look back.  I won't wear sunscreen again on my arms.  Clogs pores and won;t allow you to sweet easily which leads to potential over heating.  Even on the most humid of says, the fabric moves moisture away from your skin.

 

Get white or some light color for sunny hot days and a darker color for the very sunny but cool days.  For the cool days, the darker color will help keep your arms warm without causing you to overheat or sweat.  It's amazing how cool you feel under them with even just the slightest of breeze.

 

Now it's sunsleaves, wide brim hat, sun lotion on back of my neck in case the hat brim doesn't sheild it and some on my face cheeks and front neck.

Welp turns out I'm pretty shrimpy in comparison to what the XL sleeve calls for.

 

Anyone interested in picking up a pair of black and a pair of white sleeves? I would exchange but I have to pay shipping both ways, would be cheaper to sell and re-purchase.

Very old thread but I’ve noticed more and more people wearing sun sleeves and on tour also.  A lot of caddies using them.  I use them when outside, just in general.  They are much better than reapplying sunscreen

yeah i've been using a white pair for a couple years and it's survived dozens of washes. only just now do i notice a little bit of color change and pilling, but still very solid. they have more of a substantial thickness than some of the other amazon brands i've tried, but imo that makes it feel a little higher quality. they fit quite well too even though it's one size fits all

I just recently started wearing them and I like them. They do have a cooling effect with a breeze and they aren’t really too noticeable, just took a little getting used to. Great for super hot sunny days. I use them on my bike rides as well.

 

I got 2 pairs of Sparm sleeves. A tad pricey but they are nice. I might try some cheaper ones on Amazon and see how they compare.

DeSoto has been making their sun sleeves for decades. They are excellent.  I've had a pair for over 15 years and they are still in great condition.  They've been washed 100s of not thousands of times.  I actually just ordered and received a new pair.  They are expensive at around 40 bucks but you'll not find a better pair and will last about forever.
