There are plenty of native, monolingual English speakers to call out who can’t put a sentence together.

Also heard it said they weren't much of a live act when compared to what they could do in the studio.  Not a knock so much as an observation.  At the time there were things you could not replicate live.  Same for other bands as well.

 

The "more than a band" comment stems from the fact that they had two consistent members of the band and on occasion they would not even be the ones actually playing an instrument or providing vocals.  They arranged the music however.  (And if you attempt to google "songs without Walter Becker" you only return articles regarding the band after Becker's death.)  I am about 99.5% sure there are SD songs without Becker on an instrument and about 80% sure there are some without he nor Fagen playing.

I think I was one of the first  ones to read this post this morning….I paused.  Checked my pulse.  Did a few long blinks , decided my right appendages were   working , no slur of speech etc.  

 

  i then clicked  off it to go make some coffee.  I realize the OP isn’t a native English speaker.  And I’m never going to be the grammar police ….. but I couldnt for the life of me think what to say to that.  Lol.  Brother. We’re with you.  We just aren’t sure where we’re going ! 😂
