Pings delivery times

Haven't heard much lately. What's been your experience ordering from Ping lately on delivery times? Still as slow as this spring?

I was in a shop to check out some wedges on May 11 and had some Glide 4.0s/Pro Modus 105s in two days short of three weeks.

Ordered around two wedges around this same time on the same shafts, right at 3 weeks to drop ship them to me.

My brother-in-law received a partial set of G425 irons with one of their 'stock' steel shaft offerings in 3 weeks about a month ago.

 

Ordered a partial set of G425 irons for my wife two weeks ago (with Alta Distanza 40 shaft) and haven't heard a peep.

I ordered a set of G425 irons last month and they came in about two weeks. Unfortunately they were built with the incorrect shaft, so back they went.

how does an oem get the shaft wrong ??  which shaft did you order?

 

I just ordered a set with stock graphite

Still pretty slow.  Ordered some i525 irons on June 3rd.  Estimated ready date is July 22nd.  7 weeks.

Update to this post from earlier today….

 

Got my shipping tracking number this afternoon.  Assuming they arrive on projected date, twenty-two days from order to receipt (Maryland).

I ordered AWT 2.0 Steel. Clubs arrived with Alta CB graphite. I can only conclude that an error was made when the retailer submitted the order to Ping.

Ordered two 4.0 wedges on 19 April.  A 50 degree standard and a 56 degree ES.  Both are red dot and +1/4".  One has a Recoil 780 Smacwrap and the other a ZZ 115 shaft.  Told them I didn't care what grip but don't install it just toss it in the box.  

 

I was told three weeks and that all components were on hand.

 

Then I was told there was a delay due to components.  New estimated ship date was 16 June.

 

Called the shop on Friday to ask them to check on the status and haven't heard back.  

 

Since the grips are irrelevant and the shafts are different I don't know what the delay could be unless they're out of heads which seems odd for such a new and recent release.

Order Ping i59 irons with standard Project X LS 6.5 +1/2" on May 22 through fitter in Canada. Contacted ping separately and was told all parts in stock but still expect 4-6 weeks. Just went to fitter to pick them up and it was the wrong clubs (heads and shafts). 

 

Don't know yet if it was the fitters error or Ping (order receipt from fitter did say Ping i59 and correct shafts and specs). Really hoping it will be quick to get this fixed. Anyone know how Ping is for correcting mistakes?

Props to the Repair Shop...  I traveled to Prescott from Ventura, CA a couple weeks ago and dropped my irons off in Prescott on Thursday to have the lie angles and swing weight changed. Ping delivered them to me in SoCal the following Friday!!  Always impressed with Ping... COVID has caused havoc with the supply chain(s) and staffing.

If they make a production mistake, they are top notch to make it right.  You will usually get the correct club shipped to you express delivery (from my experience) and often times have it in hand prior to sending the incorrect club back.

Ordered nine degree 430 Max driver, five, seven and nine woods on 17 April and received all on 27 April.

 

So ten days counting the weekend.

 

Like the good ol' days!
