Anyone able to snag a tee time for their September opening?

I was fortunate enough to get one for day #2 (Sept 4).

I will also be there on the 4th, will be spectacular. I feel confident it will be a top 50 course and the second highest rated in the state (SH)

Driver: Ping G410 LST (Diamana ZF)
5w:  Titleist TS2 (Ventus Blue)
3H: Titleist 818 H2 (Ventus Blue HB)
or 3i: Cobra King Utility 21* (Tour AD DI)
4-P: PXG 0311T (KBS $-Taper)
Wedges: 51* Edel TRP, 55* Edel DVR, 60* Cally MD5
Putter: PXG Mini Gunboat H

I was lucky enough to get a time September 7th and am (probably overly) excited to see the course. With the delayed opening to September 2022, any thoughts on what the actual course conditions will be like? I would imagine they wouldn’t open or hold the Mid Am unless it was ready to play, but I am curious if I should temper expectations for the actual condition of fairways, greens, undergrowth, etc.

Regardless, really looking forward to experiencing another great Nebraska course!

The playing areas are fully grown in. Some of the surrounding areas will still need some grow in - longer native around the greens and fairways. If you're on the fairway or green you won't have any concerns. You will hit shots you've never seen before out there.

Played yesterday.  A few thoughts.

1.  Great track

2. It’s very hilly.  A tough walk unless you walk very hilly courses.  I recommend taking a cart which is included.  Also the walking paths are not all built, so you often walk the cart path just to find the tees.

3.  Yardage book is a must.  A lot of blind shots and if you miss your shots in the wrong area, you have blind shots.
4.  Tee accuracy is more important than tee length.  If you put your tee shot in the wrong ares you have a lot of blind shots into the green.

1 negative is the bunkers.  They are like a combination of sand and mud.  I’m not sure if that is the intent but it makes for some very inconsistent bunker shots in terms of how to play the ball.  Really wrenched a wrist in one because I assumed the club would slide thru, it literally stuck down into the mud,

Stetson, you must’ve been in the group behind mine. We were the 8:45 tee time. Did you have green pants on?

Got all excited for a second, I was an 830 but then saw you posted on Monday. I had an 830 yesterday and the course exceeded my expectations.  The recommended I buy a yardage book in the shop but I decline. Luckily someone in my group did because we played our first tee shot into the fog. Bunkers really bothered me as well where a couple of times I ended up just playing back out. I did however take every opportunity to not end up in the milkcarton bunker on 18…to which I did and surprisingly I got out and greened it. When it’s fully open next year it might be something I go play monthly. It’s an experience everyone needs to have.

What’s everyones thoughts on Landmand?

IMO, the green complexes are a little extreme and the bunkers are more like mudkers.  Layout is good.   I wouldn’t want to play it if the wind is blowing 25+. food was excellent.  I enjoyed it more than the dunes course at prairie club.

I’ll go back.  I’d be in a bigger hurry to go back if the greens didn’t have buried elephants everywhere.

The greens are kind of Rob's MO when it comes to course architect.

Bunkers definitely need a lot of settling and fresh sand installed.

I'm anxious to see it again a couple years down the road when everything is grown in and grown together.

Please explain?

Well for that price I expected more amenities.  There was no on site restaurant, just a food truck and you only get like 20 balls at the range (which is not much of a range).Club house was extremely small. The course itself was nice and all but for $150 I could play Quarry Oaks twice. I just didn't see anything that made this track worth $150. I would expect it to be $75-$80. Again, this is just my opinion.

How was it?   They really treated me poorly, that I have pretty much decided to not bother.

Loved it. I didn’t have an issue at all thought all staff members were great. Course I thought was amazingly fun. I definitely can see where they can improve on a few things which I think will happen in time
