I'm waiting on the 1K Pro Blue to be released sometime within the next 2 months.  It's supposed to the the tweener between the TB and GT.  Did you lose 20 yards from not enough spin or something else?  Are you looking for something to launch higher than the XC?

I lost total distance because GT would launch lower and still had way less roll. Something of recent release but same launch as XC would be perfect. XC doesn't feel smooth to me at all actually

Yeah, the XC felt very linear and wasn't as smooth as GD's other shafts for me.  I think maybe the Speeder TR might work for you or you might wanna try the 1K Pro Blue when it's released.  Speeder TR spit out very similar numbers for me compared to the XC but felt a lot smoother.  It had a touch more kick as well but not nearly as much as the DI.

haha this is funny, Speeder TR was the shaft I played and loved for almost 4 years, moved on because wanted to try new stuff, guess I will go back to old trusty and try 1K blue when it comes out

How much time did you spend with the GT/do you have the ability to spend another session or two with it?

 

Could just be a poor fit for you but it seems several people did not like it initially and it took a minute to get a handle on it.

One thing to consider going from an AD X to a Diamana TX, the Diamana is already "stiffer" flex to flex. A GT Stiff tipped .5" should be closer to the AD X.

After playing several rounds with this shaft I thought I would share my experience for those thinking about getting one.  My previous shaft is a 1K Orange 60x. I thought the 1K was the shaft for me, its a damn good shaft, and would be happy playing it. For me the GT 60x is superior.  It’s effortless to launch, anti left and has a sweet little kick that I have quickly become addicted to.  I’m playing both in a 10.5 G425 LST. I can launch the 1k when I need to but have to alter my setup a bit to do so.  The GT does this for me without having to change my “stock” setup.  I’ll be getting fit for a G430 LTS the day the heads are available. I’m thinking I will be able to go down to 9* with this shaft.  Oddly the swing weights were within 1.5 of each other, I guess the 1K is not too counterbalanced. They’re both really good shafts, super smooth.  The 1K pretty Linear a little lower launching and maybe a few less rpms.  The GT just wants to hit high bombs.  MCA’s top shafts are all so good.  Really hoping the GT pairs well with the G430 LST.

Just bought a GT to replace the PD. The PD is good but just launches and spins too low for my liking.

What flex should I get in the GT coming from AD DI 6X? Love everything about DI, its given me the longest drives of my life but its quite unpredictable more often than not both left and right. Hoping GT to be more stable...

60X should do it unless you tipped your DI excessively.

Apparently Ian Fraser of TXG has it in the bag! He mentioned, I think on their recent Monday YouTube live, that he'd do a WITB soon. 

 

He did say on Instagram that he has the GT 4X in a TSR3 head playing 45.25" at D4. I'm not sure what grip he's playing or what adjustments would need to be made to head weight to have it at D4 (I'm guessing adding a little bit, since that's 0.25" shorter than standard with a lighter shaft?), but I'd love to know.

Maybe try Diamana TB 60x. I own one and rotate with DI 6X.  In my hands it feels a little firmer, more one piece/less kick than DI, and launches a bit lower than DI. Pretty darn low spin and very straight.

I landed on a tipped 6s - great shaft. Have a 6x with Titleist tip if anyone wants to give it a go

Diamana GT is near perfect with the PTD.  It’s the epitome of smooth with a ton of stability in the tip.  Handle feels like a whiteboard but with a little blueboard kick into the ball.  Feels powerful.  Can handle a quick transition without the scare of going left.  Tight mid launch fades w/PTD 9* set to +1.  It feels better than the TR Blue did for me.  GT in driver, TB in 4 wood.  Good stuff.  

 

*Can confirm GT is a tightened up ZF.  Plays slightly firmer.

 

I snapped these late in the evening so we didn’t get the holographic lettering.  It’s a fine shaft for sure.

Haven’t tried the GT but for me the ZF is far superior in length and feel and accuracy to all the following of my past favourite driver shafts :

wow thats quite a list, so obviously the ZF is working for you. Have u ever tried the Kailu Blue or AD-DI or AD-HD

No to HD, yes to DI , it was on my list … bigger misses with DI

GT is the updated ZF.  Many people feel it is a touch firmer.  It may be a hair stiffer than the ZF, but I really haven’t seen much difference.

I can say for certain that the GT feels more stout overall than the ZF.  My dispersion improved as well and the ball goes straight with a 5-10 yard draw now whereas with the ZF I had the fight the big hook.

which Graphite design shaft would u say is more similar. So far for me the DI is the best, Kaili Blue was not good for me

Probably UB or HD.  HD feels maybe a hair softer though and is more draw biased whereas the UB was more stout and anti-left.

I am going crazy here, I am playing a TSR3 9 degree head back and forth in two  shafts: DI and Ventus TR blue, both in 6X.

 

DI gives me the longest drives, I mean scary long 350+ bombs, of course this happens in 1 out of 10 shots, the other 9 are a mix of pulls, hooks, pushes, slices out of the planet, etc...

 

Ventus TR Blue is way more predictable and dispersion is way better, distance is a bit less than DI, the only thing that makes it unplayable for me is that it launches way too low for my swing, the course that I play has a lot of trees you need to launch the ball over from the tee and with the Ventus I am always flirting with the top of these trees. Ventus TR has a lot of roll which I like but it gets me in trouble more often than not because of the low launch. 

 

I was thinking of 2 options, messing with the loft sleeve and set it to +.75 or even +1.5 loft but I just don't want the face to shut because of this since I already fight a terrible hook as my usual miss.

 

The other option is getting another shaft profile, I was thinking of either Ventus TR Red, AD UB or Diamana GT...

 

Any suggestions? I really need help here...
