Hotmelt in driving iron

My quick search didn't turn up anything so feel its safe to ask the question.  I am looking to increase the weight of my current Srixon U45 18 deg driving iron with hotmelt, I am not looking to increase launch angle so I'm worried about simply adding it to the bottom of the head.  Does anyone have any information on where to add hotmelt to the head, I assume not on the face of the driving iron but if I am looking to keep launch down can I simply add it to the backside of the of the head more similar to adding lead tap but on the inside of the hollow body?

How much hotmelt do you need to add? Most common amounts wont effect cog or launch to any noticeable degree. To answer your other question the best place for hot melt to keep launch down or raise cog, would be as high as possible. The back could technically increase launch, but again it would take a TON of hotmelt to see a noticeable difference in launch.

Agreed with Red, changing CG in an iron head with hot melt isn't really viable if you were TRYING to do it, so you don't have to worry. The amount you'd need to add to move anything would inherently fill most of if not all of the head and that point it's everywhere and thus not concentrated too much in any one particular place like it would need to be to move CG. If you CAN concentrate it in one area of the head then you aren't adding nearly enough to move anything a noticeable amount.

I put some in my Titleist 503i utility iron head to bring the swing weight up and I was shocked how quickly the head filled up completely. Was not expecting that.

@Valtiel or anyone else… i am interested in this as well, would it be bad to put hot melt against the face of a driving iron? Would that change how the face flexes at impact?

Just add some lead tape first to see how you like it.

I guess I didn't explain, I currently have lead tap on it and and now have a hotmelt gun so im looking to make it look pretty again
