Same ball for everyone, they'll adapt to it. They might even practice with it before the events so they know how it reacts.

Tennis uses different balls at each of the majors. They manage to deal with it.

A solution to a non-existent problem.  Here we go again.

Mostly Wishon with a few Tour Edge Exotics, Cobra, Cleveland, and one Odyssey mixed in.

Was gonna say, (well I wasn’t bcs I’m toning down the drama on my end. But I thought it. But now I’m saying it… 🤔) well anyway.

Yeah I’m pretty sure (not a Dr.) ovarian cancer doesn’t change the structure of one’s face… I don’t know. Maybe it does… I need more

What’s your fav golf ball?! 😊

Agreed. The Titleist Professional 100 was a bit better, but the original Pro V1 was incredible.

It would be easier to spec out a competition ball for the majors and high-level amateur events and call it a day. The USGA/R&A rarely do what's easy.

This is actually a great idea.  I'm surprised classic courses haven't designated a "classic ball" to be played at their courses.  Would make them more suited to competitions again.

Great in concept/theory. Fools (not directed towards you) gold/dream/wish otherwise. No OEM ball manufacturer or DTC guys have the gear to produce wound balls. Actually they haven't for 20+ years.

Even if they could make wound balls again they would never go back to balata. There was a reason ball manufacturers all went to urethane. Of course I'm sure you are well aware of that right? Otherwise keep on dreaming.

Remember dreams are never meant to come true. Or so I've heard. 😅

I agree with you on wound.  It would have to be a reduced flight solid core.  I admit I still have a soft spot for the Prof.  That was a nice step forward.

Who said it needs to be a wound ball or balata? A solid-core urethane ball can be made to play higher spin through dimple pattern design.

If the USGA really cared about golf they would cap drivers at 280cc while also reducing the sweet spot.  They would also roll the ball back 10%, not this puny rollback that's coming.  I'm talking for elite competitions not hackers like the 95%.  They won't though because they are controlled by the distance industrial complex.

I endorse this viewpoint.

Are they going against the Scottish Open?

Honestly,  if you didn't know better,  you'd have to conclude that their goal is to have as low ratings as possible.

Pretty wild if you ask me. They've gone up against Phoenix, Genesis, API, The Players, and are going up against the scottish + the 3 FEC playoff events. I don't get why LIV doesn't schedule anything during events like Amex, Valspar, JDC, Wyndham.

So they have an excuse when the ratings are abysmal???

They went up again the Valero when they were at Miami and still got smoked on ratings despite being on fox. Didn't they also get killed by a rain delay replay Zurich?

They thought being on Fox would really help their ratings and also hurt the PGA Tour’s big events. LIV thought they could compete in the US and they can’t do much at all. LIV knows people are watching golf during the PGA Tour’s big events and they might be able to get some of its scraps, but they are barely getting that.

I wonder what % of those ratings are golf course clubhouses that have multiple tv’s in the grill or sports bars. The number of people actively seeking out LIV has to be very very small.

I’ve yet to see LIV on a clubhouse TV or in a sports bar

I tried watching a couple of the early events this year and just couldn’t stay interested.

Now I forget that they are even on. If it weren’t for GolfWRX I’d probably forget LIV even exists.

There’s probably fewer seeking out LIV than there are that accidentally “watch” it when they turn on the tv and Fox or FS1 was the last channel viewed .😏
