Ping G710 users

Curious to see how the G710 finish has held up over time for you guys that play them. Better than expected or worse? Pics and how long you've played them would be cool.

I played these briefly when they first came out and I didn't notice a ton of wear in the few months they stayed in the bag.  The faces still looked new(ish) while the soles did have some wear, but I actually thought they held up well.

I have had mine over a year and they are holding up just fine.  I dont anticipate any issues and these are by far the best ping iron I have ever hit.  The ball is very long and high and they are great if you are looking to add a forgiving iron that is long.  I tested these compared to the ping g425 and they are far superior for me.  If you can find a set I would jump on them.  I went with graphite shaft and am so thankful I did

I had them for well over a year and the finish held up well. Please see photos below.  I didn't play in a lot of sandy soil though - Midwest US.  I would guess upwards of 100 range sessions and 100+ rounds.  I would guess at least 50 of those range sessions were mats also.

Quick followup - I also used iron covers on them 100% of the time. (well maybe not when swinging them 🙂 So no bag chatter ever.

Don't know why head covers get a bad rap on Golfwrx, your irons look great!

I tried them and even bought an extra pitching wedge and 7 iron since I play mostly desert golf.  Second shot with my 9 iron in the fairway left a scratch from a small tree branch.  Got rid of them that same day.

I have had mine for two seasons now lots of range and play. They have held up great finish wise and I love how they play.

I am finishing the second season with mine (7i-SW) and have to say that I don't think the finish has held up all that well. I'll post pictures when I get a chance.

Does anyone know if you can order these from Ping without the black finish? Or has anyone had the heads bead blasted to remove the black on their own and how that came out? I know a lot of people like the look but I don’t.
