Got an email from them, having a 40% off fall sale. They offer two urethane balls, a u-pro (29.99) and a u-pro tour (39.99). Anyone use them? Seems like a decent deal…

I've used the U-Pro in the past.  I liked it but I'm not a fan of the mental mates characters on the ball and it's a tad firmer than other balls I prefer like the TM Tour Response or Srixon QST.   Durability was also mediocre at best.

Yes, also realized 40% is pretty typical, they run BOGO quite often. I think id be more interested in their 39.99 and 49.99 balls, but thats right in the wheelhouse of other premium dtc balls, vice, mtb, seed, etc

Used the 2 piece U-Pro. Yes, firmer, but one of the few like the old Bridgestone e5. 2 piece with a urethane cover. Was a decent ball. On sale a hood value. Not the best for me not the worst.

I was gifted a box of u-pro tour and they are decent at best.  Horrible durability though.

I tried the U Pro last year because I wanted a pink urethane ball. I love hitting the pink ball past my partners….

Unfortunately it’s performance is just OK, and the pictures are a real turn off. The concept isn’t horrible but they just look like color blobs - it’s impossible to tell what they actually are.

tagging along late to also hear any more feedback. I was bored on the weekend and made an impulse buy at the shop after i finished a round and stumbled upon these. I'm always looking to try some new brands, and they were relatively priced, so i just bought 2 boxes and took them to the chippin green. i paid around $33 USD per box.

 

Later i did the old google search and i was a bit confused, as i'd picked up Q soft white balls (3pc), however, others all refer to u-pro, otherwise all the q-soft are coloured. I guess they're marketted differently in different regions, but curious to which ball matched which name. (extreme soft are 4pc)

 

Sounds like i got the "u-pro" described above in pink. Try them out on course a couple of weeks later. So far around the practice green they don't seem very special and don't feel particularly soft. feels a bit like a pro-v, or a TP5, pretty firm.

 

Design is really cool, the marketting atracted me for sure, but let's see how they perform.

Nexen make decent tyres but these look gimmicky. Surprised they don't just stick to Asian market.

I never ended up trying them, im sure they are decent, but there are so many dtc options now, i just keep sticking with vice because i know what im getting, no surprises.

All of the models you mentioned are different balls not the same ball under different names.

 

Q Soft - 3pc surlyn

U Pro - 2pc urethane

Extreme Soft - 4pc urethane

I took the Q soft out yesterday and they remind me of volvik vivid. They're really hard and clicky. Nothing exciting to report and difficult to judge on the rock solid sand filled greens.

Durability was not good. The paint came off on the first drive of the day and after a few holes return with cuts and bruises on them.

Definately other better balls around at that same price range.
