Courses 26 Year Old Looking for North Jersey (Bergen County) Junior Membership

Hi All,

 

First time poster here. I saw different posts regarding junior/regular memberships of some country clubs around the North Jersey area but figured to put up another post since I didn't see anything conclusive. I was wondering if anybody recently have gotten more information on some of the clubs.

 

Interested in

- White Beeches

- Knickerbocker

 

Now of course, there are some other clubs that I'd be interested in joining but due to their rumored pricing for non-junior membership I'm not 100% sure I'd be comfortable paying for it.

- Arcola

- Montclair

- Upper Montclair

- Ridgewood (Grew up here in the town, so would be a dream to be a member)

 

If anyone has any information on the courses, I'd much appreciate it. Also would be awesome to get recommendations too!

I have been a member of UMCC for 8 years.  It is a great club and about 3-4 years ago made a big outreach to increase our junior membership.  This was very successful and we a have developed a strong junior membership, including some very good former college women players.

 

If you are interested there is an open house this Saturday where you can get all the details.  PM me if you want an intro, otherwise reach out to Kara Stiles.

Probably just a mix up in terminology. Executive is what we call it at my club until 35. (Thankful to have joined when it was still 40)

The junior program worked very well and we have a good percentage of junior members.  I don't know the current status of the program.  Our membership director is very good and she is not pushy at all. You can ask her any questions - most new members will say that she made them feel very comfortable with their questions.

The nearby private club defines junior as under 26.  Young adult is under 36.  Senior is 62.

The exact numbers vary so I'd ask the clubs you are interested in joining.
