Recent builds:

1/ Bridgestone J715 B5 w/ Trono 75TX. Like the head. Not sure about the shaft.

2/ A whole s***ton of glue-in JDM drivers to test shafts. Srixon ZR-600 w/ Fuji Fuel 65X, Japanese Taylormade R510 w/ a Hybrex Helix Tour X, Yamaha Inpres X 410V w/ a Penley G2 82X, Tour Stage ViQ 430 w/ a UST Elements Chrome 65TX. Among others. Turns out I like Tour Stage heads. Still unsure on shafts. I may end up back with Accra!

 

3/ TM Superfast Burner 2.0 3W w/ an Evenflow Black 6.5X 75g. Can't miss with it. Hate the whole look and feel. I even put on a white grip! This club costs me sleep.

4/ Reshafted my Cobra KF MBs w/ a fresh set of C-Taper 130s *using JB-Weld* and I am an absolute convert. I've tried many epoxies, even worked professionally in the composites industry for a while, but lowly off-the-shelf $4 JB has way better specs than any shafting epoxy I've tried, a little steel powder already mixed in for any slop or play in the head, and just feels rock solid. I've been known to loosen a head or two, and the JB's has me swinging with great confidence it'll stay on. Tried it on a WRXer's recommendation. Never going back! I swear it even feels different.

5/ Tensei CK Pro Blue 80TX in an old 17* Titey 816 H1 head. Pretty good combo. Looking for a TS2 head to swap on there.

More shafts waiting for heads: Tensei CK Pro White 70X driver, bunch of Tour Green TXs in 65, 75, and 85 weights. Gotta figure out the top end of the bag! (Is this an illness?)

I bought one (60X) a few years ago for a guy who backed out and actually forgot I had it. I was cleaning out the shaft pile and found it and a GD AD GP 6X. Tried 'em both in the TSR3 and the X'17 won out.

 

They come around every now and then. I bought a 60X & 70X off a WRX member around a year ago. So keep looking and one will pop up.

I just shimmed a AMT White s300 4 iron shaft into my Adams Super 9031 23* hybrid.  I recently changed into those irons shafts for my 5-9 iron and had the 4 iron shaft laying around.  I figured it was worth a shot, and I'm really liking it so far.

Got a purple ice 83x shaft that just came in today, that I'm now trying to throw into my 07 Burner 3 wood. Loved that club but the standard reax shaft was SO whippy and i'm struggling with the Sim TI off the deck. Found the purple ice pop up for $25 on Ebay and thought it would be a fun project. I've heard good things about it as a FW shaft.

Seen you post about this in multiple threads. Both those clubs have cult followings around here, have 4 heads myself in my storage right now

Yeah I love those kinds of cut following clubs/components. I have a bag full of them lol. MP32s, Nike engage wedges (really just the 60 now), had a m2 tour issue driver that didn’t work well for me, but ended up in the g410lst which has it’s own cult following. Love those bargain hunting test shafts and stuff. 
 

I will definitely share some pics. Hopefully it does me well!

Darn you. I was on the lookout for a PI 85X to put into an Ashton X1 3w head that I refinished in white... Lucky guy!

My 2i and 5i have arrived.  They look lovely, and in my hands, not as large as I had expected.  

 

Which also piques my interest in the CR-16, as I've tended to like smaller clubheads.  😉

 

I'll try take comparison pics with MP-37s, or some other clubheads I've got lying around.

'76 Wilson Staffs.

 

Looked like they had seen quite a bit of driveway golf when I got 'em.  Took them down to the steel, gave them a custom sole grind and leading edge relief, electroplated copper onto the nickel left in the stamping, and kinda burnt-bronzed them by electro-brushing copper sulfate solution at high(er) voltage.  Squished some 3/8" copper pipe to make the ferrule rings, swingweighted the set, glued 'em and gripped 'em.  Fun project.  Even more fun to game.

Thanks for the pics! The D-23s look about as large as I expected. The 75mm blade length of the CR16 is only a little bit longer than say a Muirfield, assuming I'm measuring correctly. That puts them in the same ballpark as your (and my...) Rams I believe.

During the summer, I softstepped ctapers on my Mx 17’s for the second time and put on new ferrules I got from china. I dont have the machine to put sanding belt on, only a wheel but not the right one. Will have to get this done proper. Also put on ping grips on my IIIA set. Currently I am looking for cheap shafts to put in 913H hybrid head I got for cheap and to MP Fli Hi head which is now without shaft. I would like to get something graphite around 100g. Also build S18 gap and sold it because I did not like it in my set and got Mx19 gap instead and I am very happy with it.

Finally got the right ferrule and found the time to put together the 757 Speeder Evo IV for my TS2. I am going back to a 44" driver after playing 44.5" for the last couple of years. The extra shaft weight and the adjustable weights in the head let me keep it at D2 even with a midsize MCC+4 grip.

Those are nice lookin. Never heard of arias before this, they seem pretty intresting, super customizable. My intrest has been peaked! Let us know how they are.

Speaking of customizable...  the clubheads have a weight port, not unlike the Wishon weight port in the bottom of the hosel bore.

I saw that on the spec page and I was under the impression it was for them to use a tungsten plug for custom builds. Does it fit std tip weights?

I haven't tried plugging anything in there yet.  I'll have to see if I have some old Golfsmith weights...

Love a steel shaft in a 9031. One of my favorite clubs for a long while. Nippon 1050GH X.

I tried a few different graphite shafts in the 9031, and none of them were as good as the steel s300 shaft I had in there for years.  The club just got to heavy feeling for me after I switched to the AMT in my irons.  I'm enjoying the hybrid again now that I've switched back to the steel shaft.
