Arccos Free Sensors - For anyone!?

I feel like I’m missing something here but I think anyone can get a free set of Arccos sensors, even if they don’t have a Ping, Taylormade, or Cobra club

 

at the link below you can just click “don’t have any of these clubs” and it allows you to checkout and get free sensors 

 

are these different than the Gen 3+ which cost $200? Why would anyone ever pay when you can just get them for free by clicking a button? 
 

I feel like there has to be a catch

Based upon my experience with the free ones from TaylorMade, the free sensors are Gen 2 sensors, not Gen 3. But no, you are not missing anything in that they make it easy to get them for free. I'm pretty sure TXG has a website as well where you can order them without purchase.

 

Arccos makes a lot more money on the subscription fee than on the sensors.

The catch is they are basically useless without the subscription which runs approximately $150/year.

 

I'm sure it costs all of 5-10 cents to manufacture one of those sensors so giving them away for free is easy. Even if only 1 in 100 people forget to cancel the membership before they are charged Arccos still made a profit.

Totally agree, but even if you purchase the $200 set on their site, you still need to buy the yearly subscription (except they give you one year free)

Then they are basically the same right? Get free sensors but pay $150 for a 1 year subscription or pay $200 for sensors and a get a free 1 year subscription. 

 

There's your catch 😉. Basically you can save $50 by going with an older product.

I just tried Arccos and it's a RIPOFF! I didn't even finish my Trial and told them to cancel before they even took out 155 bucks. There's the same thing out there that does just as good with out paying a subscription. Shot Scope I believe is like less than 150 one time pay no subscription at all. Arccos just isn't worth what they want you to pay

He seem like pretty good deals if there’s no annual subscriptions! I’ll definitely have to do some research on this
