Anyone move from T100 to ZX7?

I've been playing the 2019 version of the T100.  I like them, but like most, I have the bug for some new irons.  I know a few that play the ZX7's and love them.  Are those irons forgiving, or more of a blade?  With the new version coming out, the price has dropped on the current version, so I'm tempted to pull the trigger on those.

I briefly played the t100s and have played multiple versions of the Titleist CBs over the last several years. I switched to the zx7s last year and I'm really enjoying them. They feel more forgiving but also appear just slightly larger overall. I have a steeper angle of attack and higher spin rates so the zx7s have worked great for me. 

 

I prefer the feel of them as well. Very solid but still soft. One thing to note is the spine rates are definitely lower for me compared to the CBs and T100s. Roughly about 400-500 rpms.

I moved from the 2021 T100S to the ZX7s earlier this year. For me, they were completely different animals. The T100 irons played (for me) like a firm feeling blade. Very thin top line and sole like a blade. Perhaps a bit more forgiveness than a blade, but still fairly demanding. I moved into them from a set of MP20s, and didn’t see a ton of difference. 
 

On the other hand, the ZX7s were soft, powerful, and forgiving. They are a larger profile than the T100s, and the top line is a bit thick for my preference, but they are a much longer, much more forgiving iron than the t100s, IMO. Now, to be clear, some of my experience may be based on the sole design of the ZX7s, which works wonders for me. At any rate, I do think the ZX7s are difference makers in the field of player CB offerings, and some of the best irons of the past decade.

I would echo what the others have already said. The T100 seems to be best for shallow players (Jordan, Sunjae, Chucky 3 Sticks, etc) who consistently strike the center (or very near) of the club. The ZX7 is awesome for those steep players who spin the ball a lot (Brooks, Lowry, and Keegan). 
 

I’ve had both and both are great clubs. It has been very dry here the last several summers and I wasn’t steep enough to use the ZX7 and I am not a consistent enough ball striker to play the T100. If I played somewhere with softer conditions, I’d still be in the ZX7s. 
 

I’m making some swing changes this winter though, so I’m hoping that helps me find my best fit. I’d much rather be the guy with 4 year old irons with wear marks in the center than the guy who has tried 4 sets of irons hoping something might be enough of a band aid to work.

T100 feel clicky, and zx7 look chunky. Zx7 are much softer and much more forgiving. In my opinion, zx7 is a better club based on feel however you do give up a little distance consistency compared to the t100. I went away from t100 and would never go back, I would either play a blade or a zx7. Another great option is 623 CB from new level. Feel and forgiveness af the zx7, looks more toward the t100. Sits right in the middle.

@BCULAW gave a pretty good comparison.  T100's and T100S demand a more skilled use of the sweet spot (most popular irons on tour.)  I have T100s set in the bag, see below, and been playing 620 MB and 620 CB sets. 

 

ZX7's have larger heads, as a result, they have a more forgiving perimeter weighted CB around the sweet spot. 

 

There are different kinds of forgiveness.  The most obvious is perimeter weighted deep CB that gets the user relatively the same distance on off-center strikes, then there's the internal forgiveness of T100's and T100S, which is more than enough for me.  Both T100 series have more forgiveness than my 620 MBs or CBs, but not as much as ZX7.  I've always said, 620 CBs are not as forgiving as the small CB back might suggest.
