GD AD DI in fairway metal experiences?

TL,DR looking to hear any experiences on higher swing speed players with quicker transitions that have played the ad di in fairway metals?

 

 I’ve started to figure out the rest of my bag, but can’t seem to get along with fairway metals. tried Ventus 7x, kai’li white 80x, Ventus red 80tx (most consistent).  Goal would be to manage spin and have tight dispersion vs bomber setup.

 

for reference, current bag is 

rogue st TD LS with smoke green 60tx at 44.5

 

irons are Z forged with modus 120tx (these have been a game changer after spending a year messing with px6.5, 7.0, x7, ctaper and etc)

I had the DI 7x in driver and tested the 8x in 3 metal extensively.  Dispersion wasn't good and it kicked more than I prefer.  Currently game the Diamana GT 80TX and it's tighter/more stable, feels better/smoother, less kick and spin/launch are in the right window.

If you like the feel its a fantastic shaft. Some do, some dont.

DI is a higher launching shaft with it being a little less stiff in the middle; similar to the Ventus Red, so off the deck it might hit your window...

 

I would also give the RDX Black a look and maybe even the Accra TZ5; depending on what your numbers are.

I am not a fan, can seem to control the trajectory at all with the AD DI. 

 

I have an Accra Tour Z 5 currently which seems decent. Aldila Rouge Black might be another option and it should be fairly easy to find a second hand one to try.

Probably not a high speed guy compared to you.  At 104 MPH Driver Swing Speed.  

 

I put a Graphite Design Tour AD DI 7S in my Cobra LTDx 3 wood and it is the best combination I’ve ever had.  Love it!

 

Liked it so much I thought I would try the AD DI 6S in my driver and it hasn’t worked as well.

The best 3 results I’ve gotten from a 3 wood was an old Nike sq with pro launch platinum stiff.  It’s 20 yards shorter than anything modern, but it was a reliable 250 club.  Trying find something with a similar feel but lower spin

I love my TSr3 15* with AD DI 7S.  Can hit it off tee and it carries forever, but can also finally hit it off deck with some sucess.  Coming from Ventus red 7S, and this spins a touch more which I needed.

im doing the same experiment currently. Is the AD DI similiar to Ventus red?

I did not procure an ad di, but I’ve got 80 gram ad iz and Diamana gt incoming for testing.

 

I did by a rogue 3 wood with a Ventus red in it and did not love it.

I have had great success with the ADDI 8TX and the IZ 8X in fairways.

No.  DI launches a little higher and was dispersion was worst.  Ventus Red also didn't kick as much compared to the DI.

You're gonna love the GT.  I have the 80TX in my 3 metal and it's very straight with very little curve.  I can go after one when I need to and not worry about losing it hard left.  Like you, I didn't love the Ventus Red.

Not at all. Red is way firmer in the handle.

I went with one flex stiffer than my driver shaft (which also is their stiffer butt version), and theyre both great. FW has been my weakness for years, and now I feel like its a strength

An inch.  I did the same as you going from the 1K TPO to the TB and it's been easier on my back because I don't have to hit up on it as much.

Gt installed today in the 3 wood.  Felt great of range and definitely felt better then. Ventus red.  It was cold so not the best day to rip 3 woods, but was good enough in thinking about not even testing the ad di
