Since you seem to be another WRX member that is crazily triggered by a golf announcer who should replace him that would provide an acceptable upgrade that already hasn't retired?

 

Replying ANYBODY is not an answer. Hilarious that so many here think there is some never ending pipeline of people that could simply step into an analyst role for golf telecasts and be average/good at it and can't name qualified replacements. Peak WRX.

Yep posting my opinion. That said a nice deflection of actually answering the question posed directly to you. And yes you seem to be easily triggered by certain golf announcers like others here. 

 

Hit mute or change the channel. Can you name a better proven PBP analyst than Brad Faxon? If so let WRX know when you will be appearing on NBC/GC. I'll be sure to change the channel. 🤣

LOL! So Brad Faxon is your alleged answer. He is simply a name/matter of convenience at this time. What can he provide on a golf telecast about winning a major or competing for one. Nada. Same as us.

I think GC hired another WRX favorite, Frank Nobilo, to fill that role this year.

 

I like the job Faxon has done for NBC so far this season, but people forget that NBC had originally hired him over a decade or so ago as a hole announcer during their last big golf announce team change. They kept him around for a few years before letting him go. Then Fox hired him for a few years as a backup analyst before they bailed. Now he's the next big thing with NBC again.

Is Nabilo not on CBS anymore? I haven’t noticed if he still works for them. CBS has improved the broadcast a ton this year and I haven’t found a reason to complain about the crew or anything

They could leave the seat empty and it would be an upgrade.  And cost effective as well.

I'd be curious to know his preparation before the telecast. He comes across like he's just winging it and showing up. If he is deeply preparing for each telecast then I'd be even more dumbfounded at how much worse it could get.

I don’t know frankly. Nantz was on the “No Laying Up” pod a couple years ago and he said he always reads up on the top 5-10 guys on the leaderboard the night before to get background on them.

Yes, and he has taken on the role Faldo had done by being lead analyst on Thursday/Friday rounds airing on GC. The difference this year is that he only does that on events carried on CBS over the weekend where he would be onsite, whereas Faldo did most all of those Thursday/Friday events for GC regardless of what network did the weekend.
