I’m going to be contrary to the group here and say that Zinger is just fine. He is a former pro who played at times at the highest level and has inside knowledge that others just don’t. Is he exceptional at his commentary? Maybe not. It might take some time to improve as in any profession or occupation. Johnny Miller, imho, was the best. Many here also feel he was terrible, which mystifies me. Flame on, lol.

He knows a ton. When not talking about the action live, he’s succinct and highly informed. 
 

But during play, he gets different, it’s no like Mccord type annoying, just like if you put a extra teaspoon of sugar in your coffee, sets your teeth on edge a bit.

Being awake and interested would be nice. Not saying the same 3 things over and over. Maybe a tad bit of preparation and maybe even some enunciation practice ... even if saying the same 3 things. 
Zinger needed to go a long time ago. Bring in Phil. He will be annoying but interesting. Not like dead beat dumb Zinger.

I couldn't agree more. The few times he has stepped in the booth he majorly over analyzes everything and goes into way too much depth !!!!!!!!

I like Zinger too. He says odd things sometimes but if we spoke for a living we’d step in it too. He has a great amount of knowledge about the game.

He's doing something right, if some viewers suffer from announcer fixation.....

*Most people don't pay that much  attention to the talking heads.....Just concentrate on the golf....that way you'll be able to sleep at night.......IMO (LOL!)

Suffering from Cabin Fever? Lol....Nobody is losing any sleep, but it seems you are very invested on the commentators and NBC....

I said that tongue in cheek........seems the problem isn't mine....

 

I'm invested in the golf and couldn't care less about the talking heads, but I do find it interesting that anyone would fixate on the announcers.........
