AP was St.Andrews for Golf via Ginger Beer travel. and it was 1100 pounds stirling. if i didnt do it i wouldve came home with unbelievable regret because i was not successful any other days either through the 48 hour ballot or the singles ballot.

might i add that Ginger beer sent an email to alot of people about the open spot and i happened to be the 1st to respond back.

Royal Aberdeen today. Got a little unlucky today, fog was heavy and we had to cancel our round after 16 holes. I was paired with three very nice gentlemen from England and my partner and I were winning our match. 

Couldn‘t enjoy any views because of the fog. Was worried the whole round about how long until they stop play. But nonetheless: this was, by far, the most beautiful and exciting front nine I have ever played. What a fantastic course! The staff was very friendly and we got a few pointers on how to approach certain holes. I played ok with a couple great shots and some stinkers. 
I have to say, this was the first time I paid upwards of 200 for a round (£ 245 to be precise), was kind of screwed by the conditions, and still think it was worth it. Everybody, if you’re in the region, this course is standing up to the hype!

 

We‘ll get a refund for the holes lost, too. Presentation was high class. Didn’t take any on course photos, was busy managing the course. Strokesaver was essential, caddie would have been better. Lost just one ball on a shanked shot, luckily. 
 

Tomorrow: Cruden Bay and Duff House Royal. Scouted Cruden already (walked towards the beach from the pub today, see the amazing photos below). 
Today was the highlight of the trip so far, easily.

Got unlucky with the fog but other than that based on your pictures you seemed to have good weather.  Going May of 2025.

i forgot to mention about my caddie Aaron . i have to admit i seen him almost every day while i was hanging around 1st tee and 18 green and i was like man i hope i dont get him on my bag, he was 6'6' white dude with long dreadlocks and looked mean. so he is sizing up the bags in my group prior to tee off and grabs my bag. my wife was cracking up because she knew he was last guy i wanted as my caddie and is always telling me dont judge a book by its cover. 

well i will forever take her advice because not only was he an awesome caddie in every respect, he was so calm and laid back chill and did a great job at calming my nerves after i topped my 1st tee shot. he literally saved me 8 shots. he told me he grabbed my bag because it was the only one that was waterproof and rain was gonna hit by back 9. if you see him grab him before anyone else does.
