Is it too much to ask for people to be excited about the golf yeti coming back to the public spot light? Regardless your feelings on liv/pga tour or perspective on AK more eye balls on golf is always better than fewer.

Heard this on Katrick and McGinnis on satellite radio today. 

Over-under 2.5 birdies. First round.

Over-under for position in the field out of 54 players is 48 after 3 days. 

Over-under for first round score is 74.5.

 

I’d risk a little money and take the under for 48th place. And I’d risk a little that he’ll make 3 birdies.

Why would I care if you or anyone else is watching golf?  I'd much rather see way fewer golf fans. Tee sheets wouldn't be overflowing, destinations and vacations wouldn't require 5 figures, and drivers wouldn't cost $599 with a shaft from the lowest bidder installed. Maybe there would even be fewer commercials.

Because the technology you are playing with today (I'm assuming you're not playing persimmon woods and balata balls) wouldn't be the same without 'eyes' on the game.

With respect, that is a nonsensical false equivalence and I've seen it doing the rounds on Twitter & Facebook. 

 

It may be classified somewhat similar had Adam Scott and co received season long wildcard exemptions. But they haven't...so it isn't.
