AK was well liked in his day and played well... >13 years ago. But not sure why doubting his current day golf form is considered "hate" by some of you. He's aged, looks like a lot for 12 years. Perhaps that's what living a Vegas life does. He's also dressed like a slob, a far cry from his bold styles of the past. Again not hate, just making observations in contrast.

I would say some of the comments appear to have negative intent or ill will.   That's why they are considered hatin'. If you call someone a slob or say they look like one in public, that's not considered an observation or inquiry. But who knows these days... Pretty much anything is can be considered hate speech.

They do criticize some pga decisions or TV coverage but that's about it. Just a standalone feature on LIV or one of its players would prob be a no fly zone. NFZ

 

Don't think I've ever heard them say anything positive about anything LIV, but not a subscriber so I'm sure there's something out there.

Tron has said multiple times that he likes the team aspect and NLU criticizes the tour at every opportunity

We don’t know they tried to get him, he could have just as easily inquired as to what his status might be - not like they were going to bend rules or pay him any cash in a recruiting kind of way.

He had a insurance policy that paid him 10 million with a clause if he played golf it would be void and he would owe whatever was paid? So I assume he was paid the 10 million over the last ten years. Wouldnt the money from LIV go to payback the insurance company? I didnt read the whole thread if this has already been discussed?

Lynch hasn’t bashed Kim that I’ve seen - otherwise his takes on all aspects of LIV (some of which can’t be discussed) have been spot on and intelligent from day one.

I deeply despise LIV golf in every possible way. But me a pro pgat fanboy, most definitely not. I have plenty of criticism for that operation as well. 

 

But if AK goes out there and lays an egg it's just another example  of exploitation by this pathetic, lowlife, desperate for attention and acceptance organization. If he goes out there and plays well then good on him. But LIV will still be a desperate, lowlife organization.

If a guy who hasn't played a competitive round in over 12 years shows up and kicks butt, isn't that going to ruin LIV's talking points about competition and how they have the best players in the world???  Any true LIV fan needs to be rooting for him to struggle at least for a little while.  Him showing up and winning would be a disaster for them.

They don't need to validate talent at the top.  If AK won, I'd think that would probably be the ideal scenario for LIV.  

 

The worst case scenario is that he lays an egg and finishes near the bottom.

Still sticking with my 74 prediction, but not surprised if he comes in around 71.  It really depends on the flatstick.  It's a course you can spray around a bit and still make pars.  Par 70, only two par 5s, it's a course that not a lot of people are going to go really low on.  It's just long enough that 38 year old rusty from lack of competition AK is not going to go low.

 

Now if he flirts with 80, that's really f'n bad and he should head straight back to oblivion because even Chase Cupcake got around in +6 for 54 holes for DFL.

I understand your point but I'm still not sure that's true. I think that one of the things holding back LIV, is that in spite of all that top heavy talent, their top ranked player last year was Talor Gooch... a feat so great that his captain turned around and traded him for Matthew Wolff.

I disagree.  It is not like he is joining an NBA or NFL team after 10+ years out of the league.  This is golf.  I bet there is some rust but he likely has enough innate talent plus enough practice time to get pretty close to where he was before he left.  Guys in their 50's and 60's are scoring almost as well as they age.  

 

I'm thinking mid-pack and 3 rounds in the 70's.
