Indoors Wedges and irons are generally good - gets the shot shape correct although the amount of curve maybe off alittle. 
 

It will struggle with gear effect induced spin axis in limited flight situations with woods and driver. Solution is to hit the ball dead center everytime and it’s back to being pretty accurate. 🤪

With all the fusion tracking and precise strike location capability, does it really still struggle with gear effect?

i think trackman and the like dont apply alot of gear effect on indoor sims cause its an effect that is most pronounced on miss hits which are strikes your trying to avoid.

To date the ability to identify strike location is not fed back to the flight algorithm for limited flight situations. Maybe coming but haven’t heard anything saying it is.

I think part of it is that the math to do that accurately is not trivial to implement. Trackman has it to some degree, but it's questionable how accurate it is since they don't actually know moment of inertia distributions for whichever club is being hit.

True. Maybe not even worth it since clubs are so variable. Just need to find a way to read spin axis directly with the camera!

Anyone that pre-ordered get an email today their SC4 shipped? I have not received any update. I was hoping mine was going to be shipped today but not very optimistic.

They're located on the West coast, so you may not get your shipping notification until later this afternoon. I have not gotten mine yet either, but I figure it will get shipped in the next 72 hours.

I will say, I am not super impressed with Voice Caddie's customer support. I had emailed them a few weeks back, and never received a response. I was going to call and cancel my pre-order but decided to give it till the end of the month. I hope the product turns out as expected, they do have a history of making quality and accurate products. I am not skeptical in that regard, just wish I would've ordered through a third-party. Nevertheless, I will post an initial review when the product arrives. Only downside is the included shipping was via USPS which might be snail mail from San Diego to Lexington, KY...

It is very odd. Considering they should be shipping very soon. You'd think there would be at least one video out there. 

I also ordered the MLM2 (through playbetter). Should be here in about 4 weeks or so. Which I'm fine with given all the users having issues with their units. Figure by the time I get it, there'll be a good indication of whether they're able to work out all the bugs. And will give me a month to try it out myself before deciding whether I keep it.

Nobody should be surprised by any of this.  The SC4 will likely be fine, but it's going to be a re-skinned SC300i.  Voice Caddie's website and app have historically not been good, and customer service just average.  The unit will be good for ball speed and carry distance in most circumstances,  anything beyond that should be considered a bonus.  Just cautioning people against getting their hopes up, based on history.  Sure, the SC4 looks great, but no demos or reviews since the PGA show should raise some eyebrows.

Could be. Also could be an improved SC300i. We just don't know at this point. Frankly thinking it may turn out to be the winner the MLM2 was supposed to be. Would be kind of funny to hear/see nothing about the SC4. And it turns out to be a winner. While the MLM2 was touted as a game changer with all kinds of press, yet is failing a lot of early buyers.

The fact that there are no demos/videos of any kind on this thing, when they had it at the PGA show, is a bit of a joke.

And I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade here.  I hope the SC4 turns out to be a fantastic device at this price point.  It's just that I've seen a few iterations of Voice Caddie LM's at this point and it's best to temper expectations.  It's rare that a consumer electronics company puts out multiple average or sub-par devices in a row, then all of the sudden releases a gem.  I hope they do.

It needed a new radar for horizontal path and larger radars too. Sc300 and SC300i were basically small iterations of each other. Much better than the 200 for accuracy. I see the same happening here now giving full flight path. 
There are 2 kinds of golf units. Ones that give full 3d ball flight and can use sims and those that can’t. This is the first one of theirs than can.

Just based on the aesthetics of the unit itself, you can tell that there has been some advancement in technology to make this a viable option in the space. As for past SC products, they have always gotten good reviews and deemed reliable given their price point. I think this device will be a winner. Mine is set to be delivered on Friday, so I will get back with you all as soon as I can get some testing in, and compare to GCQuad

I pre-ordered from the company, the only downside of that is that you cannot return the device for a refund once you open it.....so I guess if I'm not a fan, it'll go on BST.

So I ordered about 2 weeks ago through one of the affiliate links, actually for it for $500 but only the unit, no case or charging cable. I’ve hit into a net a handful of times and just finished taking it to the range for the first time and here’s my early impressions:

 

aesthetics: great looking unit, small enough to carry easily but large enough to see the screen. The speaker volume is great too

 

ease of use: super easy to set up, remote works like a charm. I spent time imputing my exact club lofts/lie in the app to hopefully help with accuracy. App itself is ok, pretty basic visuals. 
 

accuracy: seems dead on with wedges and irons, and numbers were consistent between net and range for all irons and wedges. Woods/driver seems to be a different story. The only time the unit didn’t register a shot was when using a hybrid, and it happened a couple of times. Driving distance seemed really short compared to trackman and real life distances. I have a Paradym triple diamond, 9.0 degree loft, around 100pmh swing speed and usually carrying around 250, and this was way off. Also the unit didn’t register any launch angle with the driver shots. I’m going to set it up side by side with the trackman at our club indoors and see what the numbers look like but the driver/wood data is disappointing. 
 

also there’s currently no ability to download E6 connect as there’s no corresponding tracking system in the app with Swing Caddie/Voice caddie. I emailed voice caddie support but have yet to get a response. 
 

overall I like the unit, I had the rhapsodo mlm last year but returned it because of accuracy issues and this is by far better. Jury is still out on driver/wood/hybrid accuracy and not idea what to say about E6/simulation.
