Ping cancelled my G430 irons order and I don't know why

I ordered some Ping G430 irons from TGW a couple of weeks ago and got an email today saying that Ping had cancelled my order.  When I had called TGW a few days ago for a status update, their system showed that Ping would be shipping them on Feb 13th.  Then suddenly today, as I mentioned, I got an email saying the order was cancelled.  When I called TGW to ask why, they said they didn't know.  That Ping had not sent them an explanation for why they cancelled the order.  This is very strange.  I've never heard of an order outright cancelled by a club manufacturer, never mind cancelled without an explanation.  Has anybody else had a recent order cancelled by Ping?

Was maybe a shaft issue. That’s what can be a reason for Ping to cancel.

Have ordered several sets from Ping over the years and never had that happen. Maybe something wrong on the TGW end, shafts and/or grips that should have included an upcharge but didn't? In any case should have gotten an explanation.

Perhaps, but other manufacturers ask you if you want a different shaft before outright cancelling your order.

Should call ping CS and ask them why your order of this shaft and specifications was cancelled from tgw.

Might be helpful if you included the exact specs ordered/requested from Ping

Update on this.  TGW finally got back to me and told me that there was a "computer error" that caused my order to get cancelled.  The strange thing is that they couldn't tell me if it was a computer error on their side or on Ping's side.  Now I run an IT shop for a F200 company, so I know that computer errors don't affect just one person.  They affect everybody.  So this sounds a little fishy.  In other words, everybody's orders would have been cancelled, not just mine.

 

What I think happened is that one TGW's customer support representatives cancelled my order because I gave her a bad rating on the survey they do at the end of the call.  I had called to get an ETA on the ship date, and she was rude and not very knowledgeable , so I gave her a bad rating.  Normally I let these things go, but she ticked me off.

 

The very next day my order was suddenly cancelled.  This after telling me the day before that Ping would be shipping the order on Feb 13th.  I think she did the equivalent of spitting into my soup when I sent it back because it was cold.  

 

Lesson learned.  Don't give a bad rating to somebody who can cancel your order (or spit into your soup).

Or the "computer error" was they never properly submitted the order. Just a thought

While you may in fact be right about this support person spitting in your soup, I find it hard to believe you actually mean this. Sounds a bit fishy to me

 

Or that, even if you believe it'd "affect everybody", that any of the relative handful of recent Ping buyers that might read your post would be among those few(?) who had their orders canceled as well.

 

But did you push TGW a little ? As in, was the order canceled or was there really a "glitch". After all, pretty much everything is tracked nowadays and if the order WAS actually canceled by this person they should be able to tell. Now whether they'd actually tell YOU or not ? That's another issue.

Seems weird.  Ordered a bunch from TGW and never had an issue.  Maybe it was, but seems fishy to me too.  Should be able to track who it was and why the error was made.

I avoid TGW. They don't nkow sh*t but they act like they know everything.
