Oh man, I know! It's nuts. Was chatting with a buddy a few years back about our first cars and we got into looking up ones to buy (his was a early 90s Honda CRX; mine was - as posted earlier around here - a '91 S10 Blazer) And we were like "WTF?"

LT, I apologize and am long overdue for some interior pictures of my GV60 as you requested.  The video is the lighted globe I thought was just stoopid gimicky but after owning the car a few days I saw why it is useful. When you turn the GV60 on there is nothing to let you know the car is running, other than a chime or the radio playing. But no "engine" or noise or vibration of any kind. I turned it off several times thinking it wasn't on and then learned to just look at the globe/gear shift. If the gear shift is showing the car is on. Duh. 

... One of the things I didn't like about the Mach E or Tesla's is the Big iPad screen in the middle of the dash that controls most everything. The GV60 has a wrap around screen with all the driving info in front of the steering wheel just like every car I have ever owned, and all the other info to the wide (not tall) screen to the right. All in my vision without having to look over and then up and down.

I don't understand how having to use/navigate/look at these big screens for almost all functions in some cars, isn't worse than using a phone.  

 

I love knobs, buttons and slides, push tune stereos were awesome. 😆

Thanks chisag. FINALLY ! 😄  That's a nice looking interior. I like the light grey colors on the dash and I also like the use of long ovals or pill shapes. The Globe is kind of cool too. I'm with ya that thank heavens it doesn't have the tablet stuck on a shelf look.

... I hear that! The radio has 3 different knobs to turn it up and/or change the channel. I can also use Voice Command but I have not ventured down that road yet as Alexa at home interrupts my phone conversations and TV shows to answer questions that weren't asked! 🤣

I know it's famous last words but for real ... since I did the total remake of the bag in what ... February? No desire to muck with the setup at all! 

 

The ONLY thing that'll keep me awake at night is should I have gone with 620MB 7i instead of T100 in the combo setup.

 

That I haven't just bought one already says enough I reckon!

I'm bummed I can't play this weekend. I rather, chose not to - it's not because it's too hot. It's actually a lil cooler. Woulda been a good day to go out.

 

BUT. I got a little excited this past Weenie Roast when we played our take on "The Way You Look Tonight."

 

When Bob peaks around 1:48 ... I made the spot decision to crash ride it. Fiercely. And subsequently f'd up my right shoulder a lil bit. Had a similar injury before and played through it ... and it took like 6 months to not hurt anymore. So I made the rare smart decision to not act like I'm 25 still and take it easy this weekend.

Well since you posted that pic. I’ll have to tell my Bronco story….

 

 

Was Iike 1994, I was living at home after college and I had a date with this Italian chick who lived in Queens. She was making a big pasta dinner and I was late so I’m flying down the highway and get on the Triboro bridge to go into Queens. 
 

Im doing like 70, it’s 3 lanes and I pass this big Bronco just like that, then scoot back over to the middle lane to try to exit into Queens.

 

Im driving a tiny Honda hatchback. 
 

Just as I pull into the middle lane lane the car right front on me pulls into the left lane and….

 

all the traffic in front of me is at a dead stop 😳

 

I barely bring my car to a stop, whew! Then I’m like,

 

Uh oh, where’s that Bronco?!

 

I look up into my rear view just in time to see the Bronco right behind me, he hasn’t even hit his brakes. I brace myself and the

 

Bronco slams into me going like 60!

 

My car lurches forward and to the left, jumps across the left lane, smashes into the center divider then

 

it rolls onto the passenger side! I remember seeing my life pass in front of me and picture my car, rolling off the bridge and plunging into the river!

 

But my reflexes were so good back then that somehow I extricated my legs from the pedals and ended up standing on the passenger door as the car is sliding down the road! Like I’m surfing! 🤣

 

My car comes to a stop on its side. I’m standing on the door. I’m like, what do I do now?

 

So I walk right out the back of the car since the hatchback glass is smashed 🤣

 

I swear there’s like 500 cars stopped on the bridge. This lady comes running over to me and hugged me and is crying like

 

Youre alive!!

 

So, then this FBI agent who just happens to be driving comes over to me and he’s like, are you OK? Do you wanna make a phone call? And he gives me his cell phone. Which is weird because nobody really had cell phones back then lol

 

So, I call the girl whose making me dinner and tell her what happened and she’s like,

 

So, you’re not coming 🤣🤣

I've had very little time with them (one practice session and one round) . My new wedges aren't going to become more familiar by me only looking at them. Time for some late day short game practice.

... Good for you! Sounds easy but soooooooooo much harder to do. I still struggle with sitting out a round our two to let things recover and heal but as we both know, resting a couple days is much better than rehabbing a couple weeks. 🙄

... I on the other hand haven't played due to all my snowbird pards are out of town, my normal summer pards are on vacation and its just too f***ing hot to play by myself. 🥵

... You Da Man! 👍 Due to age and a body still paying the price for abusing it in my youth, I very rarely practice or even hit balls before a round. The one exception is the occasional short game practice. As long as I keep moving it ain't too bad on my back and it pays obvious rewards.

SIMILAR story. Back in high school, THE hottest babe ... was this gal named Tabitha. I haven't seen of or talked to her in 30+ years ... but I still remember. She was a year older than me. And I had a major, major crush. We hung out a few times at like school events and whatnot ... but never went out.

 

I FINALLY got the courage to ask her out on a date. And she said "Yes!" 

 

Peak stuff, my man. I was not only gonna take Tabitha out ... but all my homeys knew I was gonna take Tabitha out. I was a god among men. I scored a date with Tabitha.

 

It was to be a Sunday night. Sundays at the time; me and dad and his buddies - we played golf. NABD, plenty of time to play that morning/afternoon and get home and get ready to take her out.

 

So we go, we play, whatever. Dad drove us all in his Ford Explorer. It was at a course called Woodlake out in Vass, NC ... so about 40ish mins if memory serves from Lillington. 

 

We're driving along on the way home and about 10mins out ... THE GOD DAMN WHEEL OF HIS EXPLORER JUST FLIES OFF THE DAMN TRUCK.

 

Dad swerves and catches it and we wind up safely on the side of some back road in rural NC. I'm like "Daddy ... what do we do? I have a DATE tonight."

 

"Well boy, we're gonna have to wait for someone to come fix this."

"How long is that going to take?"

"I don't know. We'll see."

"BUT I HAVE A DATE TONIGHT."

 

Mid 90s man, no cell phones, no nothing. And I'm stuck 10 minutes outside of Vass, I'm supposed to pick up Tabitha in like 2 hours and I'm losing it. Totally losing it.

Oh man, nothin on what I call my Vegas 1.0 days - the years between splitting NC for here and before I moved to LA. 

 

About a year ago, me and Ms. aenemated went to our Piero's where we're known regulars. We're standing out front by the valet and a Benz pulls up and a fella and his wife jump out.

 

That fella was my old boss (not Jim Feist - think that guy's dead - but another in that biz who's name I will not mention 😂). He didn't recognize me and was walking on along but his wife well ... suffice to say she recognized me (I hadn't seen any of them in like nearly 20 years) She's all "So good to see you!" and is all giving me hugs and such. 

 

Ms. aenemated was all "Who was that?"

 

"My old boss. And his wife."

"Why did she know you?"

I just don't want 'em to get all banged up. They're special to me as my very first set of irons was some Muirfields dad bought for me because I was insistent that I had to play the same clubs Jack did when I was a kid. I was freakin lit, I’m like sprawled out on this big sofa at the club with our receptionist and…the bosses wife’s sister!

 

Its like 4am and I’m blasted I’m like now where do we go?

 

Receptionist is like, “you come home with us” 😃 Hello!

 

Then I dated her a few times til she quit. Awesome girl, never cared much about wearing clothes 🤣
