Once a week we get a delivery of high end meat and seafood from a company out of Atlanta. I have been shooting the breeze with the driver of the truck for a number of years now. Today he brought me a gift. Mr Delivery guy said that a local restaurant gave him a few racks of ribs that were already cooked and just spiced with a dry rub as a gift and he wanted to share one with me. What a nice gesture. I am trying a new BBQ sauce that I brushed on the ribs. The product is made in Los Angeles so it has to be good. 😀

Shouldn’t that be the end of it? No penalty? What am I missing? If the decision is already made, why ask the player at all and expect him to be some kind of martyr? I got sideways / upset with a rules official in an event last year on a similar situation…will explain after seeing some responses to this.

I agree 100%.  If he did not see it, it did not happen.  That should be the end of it.

I just bought a couch.  Apparently one chair and a lawn chair isn't the ideal set up.  

 

Bought a tv, haven't had one in almost 10 months.  Its in my bedroom, forgot how little I actually like watching anything on TV.  

 

The woman I met 2 months ago, is the nicest person I have ever met. 

 

Finished siding on west end of depot.

... That's the guy. Only ump I know that made calls from 1st when it happened at 3rd or third when it happened at first. Then threw out players and managers for objecting. He really thought HE was the show.

Eh, everything BBQ out west is tragically awful. Been tryna find it for 20+ years and nothin. 

 

Though not as awful as anything from Texas; where overcooked beef with spicy ketchup is considered "BBQ" or "good."

The BBQ sauce was excellent and I am glad I tried it. I had heard decent things about that line of food products. 

I only brush it on top of the rack once just before serving. I don't like really saucy wet ribs. 

The ribs themselves were excellent. The restaurant they were from is 131 Main in Biltmore Park. Some of the best I have had recently. I will be sure to thank the delivery driver next week and I'll give him a bottle of wine to enjoy with his wife.

... Well, plenty of time for Aberg to either blow up or rise to the top and make switching him for Hovland the right/wrong move. For once I would like to get Aberg right. I don't wish poor play on anyone, even Bryson but it would be nice to have Hovland post a lower score. At least all 5 of my players made the cut.

So in an event I played, nowhere near contention. Drove my ball into gnarly waste area, part desert, part former pond and dry stream. Hole 36, final day of the event. 
 

Get to my ball, it’s in the former stream bed. Not marked as a penalty area. There are rocks everywhere but what seems like dry earth around my ball. I decide on the shot but I want to be sure one shot does not put me out of commission for a year, so I push down on the earth about 3-4” behind my ball. I figure that is close enough to see if there is a rock under the ball but not improving my lie since I’m in the damn desert and there is no grass!

 

I am more concerned about directly under or in front of the ball so I hit an uncommitted shot, thin. Immediately after, rules official approaches.

 

We need to talk.

Concentration was shot at this point…I was upset, didn’t finish well, and didn’t handle the situation well. 
 

This is why I’m generally sympathetic to the player, in this case, Lowry. He said he didn’t move it and didn’t see it move, and in this sport, we believe the player.

Yes sir I saw this morning that Aberg was having a good start to his round 2. Even though I didn't pick him I'd like to see him win. That really was a tough choice Hovi or him Sam. Toss a coin.

My favorite automobile was on property today and I got to drive it a bit. Gently but I was still behind the wheel. It is brand new. Came from the factory in glossy metallic black. The owner had it wrapped in matte black. Baddest rims ever.

My BMW came with them and I think it's just silly, especially since it's an automatic. I did shift it into manual transmission once and played with them. Essentially, all they do is get in the way of where I like to hold the steering wheel.
