Was the blueboard on the first today when he went OB. Made sure to check lol. Finally nice to see people starting to think about this, iv been saying for ages that his "blueboard" is actually a whiteboard but no one ever listnens, i had it on good authority. And iv also been saying that hes been using a "blueboard" as that will sell the best out of the line, most people using Diamanas wont be using a redboard as they will have the swingspeed there, some may not be able to handle the whiteboard which leaves the blueboard which would sell the best... Look at all manufactures... they all offer blueboards as upgrades, not white or reds, because blueboards are what fit most people, so what does Tiger "use".... Blueboard!

 

I agree with LONGBALL, whiteboards would go through the roof if he made a public switch.

how come many tour pros have their grips adjusted with the wrong side pointing to the front (normally the golf pride logo is on the front and on tiger woods and on many other pro clubs the golf pride is on the back of the grip). why do they do this?

I will never ever play a logo up; it is too distracting to me. I would assume it's the same for them as well.

That's what I love about this site...I just got back from Tucson as I followed El Tigre and of course this thread is already up! Could not believe it when I saw the flower band on the range today, and then of course 100 yds OB on #1.

 

On a side note the quote that all we have in common with Tiger is that we live on the same planet is true, but after what I saw in person today he is not OF this planet! No one makes those 4 putts in a row. It was absolutely electric to see that unfold. His putting is other worldly, and the 3 wood out of the rye rough on #17 was crazy good. So many times we hear the McCords of the world on tv fall over how good a shot was, but I have to say what I saw on 17 today was just that good. Cheers all.

No, but I did experience a little "Golf Gods" humor at my expense. All day people were clicking away with cameras so in no way was it unusual to hit the sound of shutters slapping all over the range. I had the honor of being the "idiot of the day" when all of a sudden EVERYONE"S cameras and conversation went dead silent. Of course this had to occur right as I was snapping of shots during Tiger's swing (probably 30-40yds from him). Next of course Tiger stared a hole through my soul and Steve gave me the snap you like a twig look. Needless to say after that point I did not make that mistake again.

That's correct. Which means he wasn't using the white board painted blue, he was using an actual blue board but in the back up driver it spins too much hence the change. Problem is the bend characteristics are different and it took him some getting used to. I think he will end up tinkering with the newer drivers and finally making the change and I'm pretty sure that the new driver will be with a whiteboard since Nike's new drivers are higher spinning than the original tour Sasquatch.

disagree on the sasquatch tour spin. while last years sumo2 spun more than the sq tour, both the sasquatch and last years sumo spun less. not sure how this years sumo line compares fully yet, but i would imagine the sumo is probably still lower than the sq tour.

So do I, I've been waiting 40 years for that swing to show up. But I'll bet if I just switch to a tipped White Board and Nike blades, my skill deficiencies and age challenges would be more than offset by using the same technology as the best player of all time. Not to mention the confidence it would instill. (Did I really need an emoticon the first time?)

You really can tell it's a brand new driver. The sole is still shiny. The whiteboard is becoming really popular with the pros that are club ho's and actually tinker until they find a good shaft which says a lot about the shaft. And Michelle Wie using it shows that it's not just for super high swing speeds.
