Tsr2 4 wood versus tsr3 4 wood

Love to hear more about comparisons with distance , workability and ability to flight down with the 2. I know there are some thoughts already in different threads but trying to hear what you have continued to find. Thanks from a guy who still can’t swing for another month or two cheers

The ability to move weight out to the toe of the TSr3 is what was the difference for me. This has helped minimize a big hook that happens from time to time.
 

Both are great.

@bjno1300: I have, but still undecided.  TSR2 launches higher and lands softer. Its a great club, and there's some familiarity since I'm currently gaming TSi2 16.5*

 

TSR3 was hotter with a more penetrating flight, and the ability to move the weight towards the heel (my miss) helps limit the resulting fade/slice that can follow.

I have some GC quad numbers from trying these out at the end of a fitting. The strike quality is bad - I was starting to get tired, but I think it shows what you’re after. “Iron 1” is TSR2 16.5, FWY 3 is TSR3 16.5 and FWY 1 is TSR3 15.

 

TSR 15 is the last club hit, numbers are weird.

I came from the Tsi3 woods last year to TSr2 this year. I have the 4w but it's not currently in my bag. All I can say is that it's very large. Plenty of pop and distance, easy enough to launch, but I think I would prefer a smaller profile from the fairway. It seems a bit bulky as an off-the-deck club, but it's still fine. On the other hand, it's great to look down on off the tee. Very confidence inspiring, whereas the TSr3 is much smaller and rounder in appearance (even though it's the same total volume).

 You haven't looked at many 4wd's ( or 3HL ) lately, have you? 

 All the other OEM offerings have larger footprints than either Titleist, especially when I look down on them.

 I currently have a SIM2Max 3HL that look's huge in comparison to the TSR2, which will likely be my next 16.5 FW.

My previous 4wd was an OG Rogue, which was pretty equivalent to the TSR2 to my eye.

I tested the TSR2 and TSR3 3w and 4w in a fitting last week. Was hitting the ball well so was happy it was a fair test.

I loved the looks, feel, sound of both heads.

TSR3 was maybe 5 yds longer (255 vs 250), flew lower, slightly less spin, not quite as straight. In the end I went for the TSR2 16.5 4w because it hit the ball higher and was just a bit more consistent overall. I don't need the sliding weight feature.

At my relatively low SS, 3w is not that useful and is too hard to hit reliably.

Exactly the same experience. Tested tsr2 vs tsr3. Bout 5-10 longer with the 3, but the flight was lower and I felt like I couldn't miss with the 2. So far on course it's been true. Great flight. Very consistent and forgiving. Much preferred to the extra few yards of the 3. 

 

I did however go with the tsr3 driver so I could put the weight in T1 which has all but eliminated any hooks from hell.
