Rangefinder while Carrying?

I’m back to carrying my bag more than using pushcart. 
 

Anyone have any genius solutions for keeping rangefinder in an accessible spot?
 

I don’t like the case hanging from my bag and cumbersome going in and out of ball pouch

If it's got a strong enough magnet, you can stick it to the little nub thing on the top of your hat.

 

On a more serious note, does your bag have a bottle pocket? If so, such pockets are designed to be readily accessible, and should be large enough for your rangefinder.

Really aren't a lot of options, keep it in the case attached to your bag or in a bag pocket, that's what you'll see the NCAA golfers do. Can't believe some actually carry it on their body, must be the same ones who have a towel hanging from the belt loop on their pants. 🙂

I use a Stripebird magnetic strap with my rangefinder and throw it on with one of my wedges. It’s as easy as it gets IMO.

Yes because no pro EVER has anything in their back pockets when they hit. my rangefinder weighs exactly the same as a yardage book and cover. 6 oz. If that throws you off get some lessons.

My Nikon came with a case designed to be worn on a belt.  The rangefinder is small, less than half the size of some I see people use.  I wear it on my hip but it's ok, I'm not a slave to fashion lol.  If someone wanted to pre judge me based on appearance they wouldn't be impressed.

In Asia, Korea especially, you'll see quite a few wearing it on a hip belt looking kind of thing.

This might be a stupid response, but I put mine in the rangefinder pocket on my bag. Easy to get in and out even with the bag on my back.

 

@CantPutt9 Why do you say getting it out of the ball pocket is "cumbersome"?

My 5lb stand-bag has a pocket for my Approach Z82.  Name of my bag is Ping Hoofer.

Not sure why you replied to me. I'm in agreement that a rangefinder can easily be carried on body. 🙂

Genius solutions? How is this even a situation that needs a solution or second thought about? Just put in any bag pocket that it fits in and is relatively easy to pull out of.

I do similar but use my front right pocket. This way if I sit down on a bench, no issues. 
I use a Bushnell V4 which is small enough to slip in my pocket without noticing it during play. Plus chance of loss  is minimized, and by not hanging on bag doesn’t tempt thieves.

The course I play took care of that problem. There are no benches. Dooooh.

Some stand bags have a scorecard pocket that can hold a rangefinder.  I always carry my scorecard in a scorecard holder in my back pocket anyway.

I never ride and always stuff it in the big front pocket of my hoofer. Can't even think of another place to put it.

I use this, just a metal money clip that I hook on my towel loop.  It is cheap and there are cheaper ones.  Never had an issue with the rangefinder falling off - assuming you have a magnet.

My older rangefinder doesn't have a magnet, so I use a fly-fisherman's magnetic net release. Clip one magnetic end to bag, the other end to the rangefinder and the retractable line keeps everything close at hand.

I have that one and this one.  I find the stickit one easier to move from bag to bag, but both work flawlessly.

When I had my hoofer(2017 back when PING was blue) I put it in the elastic pouch inside the upper zipper pocket(The one behind the valuables pocket). Would leave that zipper partially open and able to reach in and grab/replace it easily, without having to bend over, haha. It was the perfect place and haven't found a bag since that had a better spot.

One reason I was happy to see SunMountain go back to the three pockets above the carry handle.  Top one for range finder, middle one for snacks, kleenex, etc., and larger pocket for balls, etc.

 

I have four pockets right there if I need to grab something while carrying.  Now I just need to make sure they didn't shrink the drink holder.
