TM Paint removal and refinish

Bought this putter to dabble with face balance center shafted. If I like the feel I will likely keep. First off, love the sight lines, hate the red paint. I’ve replaced inserts before with the copper ones from Charles (spryevo) so if it gets jacked up, I’ll go that route. As far as removing the paint, what kind of stripper is recommended?  I don’t want any red at all. I’ll likely strip all paint and then use some Caswells to darken the stainless. Nothing exciting, just not red lol.

Media blasting will be the most efficient and can maybe save the insert if you tape it off well.

I have stripped TM putters (mostly the Ghost) and they seem to have more of a plastic coating than paint, and did not respond at all to paint remover.  But try any that are out there, if its paint most will take it off.  At the time I used a cheap hand held sandblaster from Harbor Freight.  You could always sand it off.  With the dings you'll need to sand some anyway.

The OP wants to do a Caswells Black Ox finish, so they want to take this back to raw SS.

Not familiar with Caswell's but if not wanting to dump a lot of money into it a quick fix is to scuff up the head with some sand paper, clean up with acetone, mask off the insert, and give it several light coats of an enamel spray paint. Can fill in the alignment lines afterwards. I did it to one of my putters that had an old white and worn finish and it came out looking really good and has held up well, not as good as a pro refinishing shop, but hard to beat for ~$7.

I'd try masking off the insert and shaft, and trying some spray on paint stripper.
