Callaway Paradym TD 7 Wood

Is the only one out there in Willett's bag?  I would buy an adjustable version in a heartbeat. Rogue ST and Epic Speed versions just too shallow compared to the unicorn, Mavrik Sub Zero 7W.  I hope a 3W HL/4W and a 7W Triple Diamond get released to the public.  Post your pictures here.

Xander also experimented with it briefly but chose to stay with his UW because it’s more consistent.

I’ve asked Johnny Wunder about the possibility of a triple D 7 wood being released he said there’s no plans to release one publicly. Maybe that’ll change down the line but as of right now doesn’t seem likely

Based on what ive read/seen as well there is no plans to release one to the public.

Will not get released publicly. Also never ever ever in an adjustable model. If you want an adjustable Callaway 7W you need to go back to the Epic Flash.

 

I had a Mavrik SZ 7w and it was nice but not the end all. Definitely a unicorn if you're a Callaway fan, though.

 

The TD 7w will pop up on ebay/CPO within 12-18 months I'm sure as long as the truck staff doesnt take them all.

I wish they'd release one.  I'd buy one in a heartbeat.  I ordered a Paradym 7 wood.  First day I had it, I hit it once on the course and it was ok.

 

After the round, I hit it with our assistant pro.  It seemed to be spinning a ton and going much shorter than I expected.  When I went to put it back in the back, I realized the face was caved in.  We checked it with a credit card and sure enough, it was flat in the middle.  Our assistant found a hairline crack running across the face.

 

Despite this, Callaway is dragging their feet sending an RA number.  It's been over two weeks and, despite numerous phone calls to the rep and the company, our staff keeps getting told that "a supervisor needs to approve the return," with no timetable of when that will occur.

 

Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed with Callaway.  This is not the way their customer service was 15 years ago.

 

So, beware.  I'm not a monster (105-110 driver SS) and I had an issue.  I know with how much they push up against limits, there will be an occasional failure.  But I can't understand how it takes so long to approve a return with this issue.

To be clear:  when I said flat, I mean concave.  The credit card touches the top of the face and the bottom, but the middle doesn't reach the card.  Like this (I.  We checked the 5 wood in the shop and that's not some unique bulge and roll design.

I'm not sure what your assistant pro or whomever doing your 7 wood return is doing, but it takes all of 5 minutes to approve returns and exchanges if you call the main Callaway number. I have never ever had a request denied nor argued and it always took less than a few minutes.

That was my experience as a club pro 15 years ago, but supposedly they referred him back to the rep and the rep keeps saying he needs approval.  It was a custom shaft, but I wouldn't think that would matter.

 

If it goes another a few days, I may call the consumer facing customer service number and try to figure it out.

I wouldn’t trust what JW says anymore.  I’m sure these will pop up on CPO or even CC vault store (or whatever they call their tour issue page now).

Sadly will never happen. I will be honest. I am kind of waiting for the day that Callaway gets the crap that taylormade did back when for so many  ”tour issue” clubs.

They have been getting worse with each new release too. TM still has some things but not nearly as bad.

I just don't get how shallow the "standard" 5W and 7W companies are offering.  The ball just slides up the face so easily.  A lot of PGA Tour pro 7W have "skymarks"!

Japan almost always gets them so that’s nothing new - they’re TA serials and not TC and never make it over to the US market unless you have one shipped over which costs a ton anyway.

Wouldn’t be the first time I purchased a JDM product at a crazy cost🤦

 

 I cannot seem to locate a place that has them listed though?  I’d love to give these babies a whirl.

Last year I was able to see the TD rogue st models on the callawaygolf.jp website if you go direct to it and look under fairways.

Probably a delayed release so people buy the initial offerings first.  I’ll try and the 3/5/7 if I can.  More club ho issues🤦

Not sure about the market planning at Callaway for the 7W.

 

My Rogue 7W works fine, but it was crazy getting one. Seems like the made just a handful for Regular and Senior flex. My pathway: The specs for the men's and women's models were identical for loft, size, and lie angle; a shorter shaft brought SwWt into C-range. Found a demo women's flex 7W online, and got it for $100. Local clubsmith was going to tip shaft and extend it, but decided instead to put in PX EvenFlow Green he had abound the shop. (Only charged me $20 for reglue!) The 7W now does wonderful things.

 

Seems like a low-profile/shallow-faced 7W is too much of a good thing...

I like the look of that Paradym 20*. I recently added a 23* hybrid and a 16* 3W.  My old 5w is OK but I'd like go up a little higher with more spin. Basically the final club I'm looking to replace for bag to be locked in for 2023.

Thats probably a question for one of Jonny Wunder's AMA's on Instagram. Specs on unreleased heads is probably knowledge pretty deep down the chain at Callaway.
