What about this app makes it the best bro you? I’m looking too and do like its’ graphics. Also do you use the free version or did you pay for the upgrade?

The big question is, what are you looking for and what are your priorities for what tasks the app manages? GolfShot is my preferred specific to golf. Seems more consistent to me than GolfLogix. I subscribed to both for a year. If you just want to track clubs, then something like Arccos will work. If you want to simply track the distance you walk while golfing, then Strava is a great app.

Just a basic gps that I can use if it’s uphill or somewhere that doesn’t have a clear view of a green, where ant use my laser, or runout distances to bunkers or hazards on new courses I’m playing.

I would say GolfShot or GolfLogix would work well for that.

Here’s a screenshot of golfshot. All kinds of info available for tracking distance. Also has green topography for many courses if that’s useful.

Agree that GolfShot is better than GolfLogix for distances. The latter has the advantage of green maps. But GolfShot's UI and data points are first class.

I've only used the $50/yr upgrade, but it's worth it.

 

Detailed course maps, which are very accurate and the green maps are awesome to have.

Interesting. Wasn't aware that it offered this now. Just tried a couple places I play. But either they don't have my courses green contours in their library, or I'm doing something wrong.

I think it does unless I’m thinking of GL, which could be the case as I’ve used both frequently.

Looks like you are correct, @SE Gamer I don’t see the green breaks in GS. Glad you clarified that.

I suggest trying out Hole19. amazing app. easy to use, has all info you need and displays them in a non crowded way. The also just added male on the watch (if you are a watch user even better). Great app.
