Titleist t100 feel

Been playing ‘21 t100 for about 6 months. Love everything about them….except the feel. Little clicky. Thinking of going back to 716 CB. They were pretty soft for a Titleist IMO. Plenty of sets on eBay. Anybody ever compared the 2?

No. But man I love the T100S. Maybe not the softest iron, but the best I’ve ever played. Played Mizuno cavity backs before them. T100 are better.

Ya I had them for 3 rounds and was done with them. The ball felt like a rock to me... Way too firm and no feel IMO...

Also had a brief stint with the T100. Didn’t care for the feel at all. Went back to my old PXG’s.

I have t100s with steelfiber and they feel great but I find steelfiber makes irons feel a little softer

My old set were 716cbs, whilst I still had them I tried the T100’s at a fitting. They are certainly firmer in feel/sound etc.

I hit both the t100 and CB on grass at a Titleist fitting day. Couldn’t tell a difference in feel honestly. So went t100 bc of fitter recommendation. Play good with them. Wish I could find that performance in softer feel.

did you Hit some cally TCBs or new Apex Pro?

718AP2 was so much softer. Tried T100 and T100s several times without loving the feel. 
 

Mizzy 223s feel great. If that’s an option. PXG has best feeling irons IMO, tho.

If you still want a players cavity back but want better feel try the Wilson Staff CB, Callaway TCB or the Cobra CB 

The Titleist is probably the best looking but lacking in feel

I haven’t found them to be that soft. Not terrible but on low strikes they feel kind of firm to me. I had zx7 previously and they felt great. But the low spin and sole didn’t really work for me.

Compared to what?

 

Hands down one of the firmest in its category… seems most agree. ZX7 is softer and it’s sorta harsh IMO also. 
 

Neither compare at all to say, Mizzy 223 or JPX Tour. Even TM 7MC is noticeably softer.

I have T100s, have I played softer feeling irons, yes, but nothing compares overall with looks playability and feel.

I have T100S, switched 2 months ago from Apex Pro 19s and love the feel of the Titleist. I found Apex Pro 19s to be much clickier, I really didn’t love the feel. I also play a T200 4i and find it soft feeling as well.

 

Ultimately it is subjective, relative to your preference. I’m curious what ball you’re playing? I tend to find the feel of ProV1, my normal gamer, preferable to that of ProV1X and TP5X, which I play around with sometimes.

I don't get this thread at all. The T100 irons are pure butter to me. Obviously requires a center strike, but when hit well these are as soft as anything out there. And I was coming from Mizuno MP20 blades.

I too play the ProV. ProV1x is better for my game probably but don’t love the feel chipping. Been trying the ChromeSoft. They are def softer but don’t think they hold their line in the wind as well.

I will add that I also owned a set of T100s irons. With the "s" I did notice some clickiness when hitting the irons a little high on the face. I think on a strike like that, the power band or whatever they call it, would activate and the feel wasn't as good. But 95 percent of the strikes with the "s" model felt as good as the standard 100 irons. It was only the high-face strikes that triggered that slightly clicky feeling for me. And I get none of that with the standard 100. Soft but powerful. Love them.

Yeah I hear you on that, I think the AVX is best for my game from a ball flight perspective, my struggle is adding to my dynamic loft with a higher SS, leads to ballooning shots when I lose control. I still opt for the ProV1 because the pitching and chipping spin just isn’t there with the AVX.

I have to disagree on the feel.  The T100 is soft feeling, both 2019 and 2021.  They do provide a bit of feedback when not hit center and that’s what I prefer.  I know they won’t be for everyone though.

You prefer the feel of the t100 to Mp20? I’ve never hit the mp20 so can’t compare.

They don’t feel bad, I don’t think anyone is saying they don’t feel like a true forged club, but compared to similar CBs they are much more clicky even dead on the screws. They are significantly more harsh when straying off the center, ie more pronounced feedback. 
 

If you hit the MP223 and the T100 side by side, same shaft, same ball, it’s not even close. The Mizzy is butter and acoustics are quieter. The slight miss of the mizzy is softer than the t100 on the screws, but still gives feedback. 
 

I think that’s what people are saying. The t100 doesn’t dampen even a slight miss at all (imo) and isn’t as buttery dead center. Comparatively.

Yep. Equally soft on center strikes, but T100 feels more stable and powerful.

I’m thinking of getting some 221 pro short irons. See how those compare.
