Titleist t100 feel

I’ll rephrase. The forgiveness of T100 isn’t meaningful enough for my game to outweigh the feel and turf interaction of the 620 CB. I hit the 620 CB better overall.

I've played CB's or blades since I was 14ish, I'm 40 now.  I do think you guys have a point regarding feel - I just feel like its being picky.  I think they feel more than fine.  I don't think they feel as soft as a blade - particularly if you're comparing to a very soft blade like Miura's or old school Mizuno's, or my Miura Forged RAC MB's, etc.  I personally think Titleist's are more like an average "softness" for a blade, and I am a Titleist guy, but everyone's mileage my vary.

Where I will disagree is in regards to the forgiveness.   It is miles better than a blade, and a lot better than a CB.   I lose like 1 mph off the toe on these things with a 7i, its amazing.  If you're hitting the center every time that probably matters less to you, or if you're consistent enough that your miss is ONLY slightly heel side, etc.

Overall, its an incredibly hard package to beat.  Its definitely an iron we will talk about in 20 years as one of the greats.

Like other have already mentioned, I am a bit confused by this thread. The T100’s are for lack of a better term, a perfect iron. The blend of looks, feel, forgiveness, and turf interaction is unequaled. Now it is important to remember that these are are not a single piece of forged steel, but are a multi-material forged cb. The z745 and old xForged were softer feeling overall, but not nearly as forgiving as t100.

i did a club fitting a couple of years ago when i got the current gen titleist cb's. I was surprised to find the feel of the club head was different depending on what shaft i was trying. Have you guys considered this?

im currently playing the zx7's with the same shafts i had in my titleist cb's. The cb's are softer then the zx7's

Been playing ‘21 t100 for about 6 months. Love everything about them….except the feel. Little clicky. Thinking of going back to 716 CB. They were pretty soft for a Titleist IMO. Plenty of sets on eBay. Anybody ever compared the 2?

Interesting how people experience them differently.

I currently play t100s, other set is 620 MBs, have 620 CB set too, and played 716CBs back in 2017.  I am a fanatical feel player too.  Never felt any clicky in any of the sets.  In my hands, heads are relatively the same except for spin rates and top lines and forgiveness and shaft. The only time I hear a click at impact is when playing DASH -ProV1x ball, it's harder so makes more noise than new AVX, new ProV1x or Chrome Soft X.

IMO, the reason there are so many t100 sets on eBay is they are NOT as forgiving as most people were led to believe.  The head is one of the smallest from Titleist.  Like 620 CBs; even though there's a cavity back, they are not as forgiving as Cavity back suggests.  Maybe due to them being designed to easily blend with MBs, don't know.

Feel is so subjective. You’ll never get everyone to agree on how an iron “feels” regardless of how it might be perceived. I can only give you my perspective, and someone else can only give you theirs. I already mentioned it, but I tried the T100 and just didn’t get along with it. The CB had a better feel to me, and didn’t seem to be a lot more punishing. Again, that’s only my perception. Recently ended up in the PXG 0317 CB’s, which blew me away in all categories.

The T100 (not s) was probably the first Titleist iron to have a, 'softer', for Titleist feel.

They really feel very good - do they feel as soft as Mizuno or Srixon?  Maybe not, but we are talking degrees, not completely different clubs.

I prefer the feel of Mizuno 921 Tour to the Srixon ZX 7, but then I prefer the feel of the T100 (which is softer) than the feel of the 921 Tour (which is firmer).

Everyone has a different experience, but the 2nd gen T100 are probably the best AP2 style players multi-material club put out by not only Titleist, but any OEM in a good decade.

Some posters have said that they feel firm on flush shots, I dunno - with a PROV1x, they feel as soft as anything.   But, to each their own.

@uglandeTruth.

For me, it's like comparing GT3 518hp to 718 Cayman 300hp and wondering why the 718 can't keep up on the track; it's not only the car but driver. LOL

For me, dense is the best way to describe it - I equate it to hitting something with a deadblow hammer, where you feel solid energy transfer to the object you're hitting.

Are they as soft as my Epon-forged Callaway X Forged 07's? Negative, but very few irons from any manufacturer matched up to those feel-wise in the 5 years I played them while working with golf and regularly hitting offerings (basically anything forged) from every company on a weekly basis.  I don't think any head not of a single piece forging is likely to feel that soft, but the T100's do feel great to me, look better than most, and absolutely provide much better forgiveness than the various single-piece forgings I've hit in both MB and CB form.

I played the 714 ap2 when they came out for a few years and they didn't feel bad, they had a unique feel. The main reason I switched is because I wanted some better turf interaction. I also noticed the faces on titleist irons wear out very fast. They are the only iron I got brown wear marks from face wear but they are still probably my favorite iron maker.

Have been playing 21' T100 for about 5 months now and could not be happier.  Came from the 19' which were also very good but I struggled a bit getting the height/spin I wanted with the longer irons.

I think the issue with the 21' model is that they are so forgiving for the package they are in that i'm guilty of confusing a mis-strike with a middled ball that feels a little clicky, specifically if I get it a groove low.

They will feel clicky and a touch harsh all round long, and then I middle one and go oh, that's what I'm supposed to do...

Really blows me away how good the performance is on some strikes that are woeful.
