A single send/receive system could only provide ranging (distance) data.

The “dual” means that one transmits and the other, which is physically displaced, receives. It allows it to measure displacement from path, or “stereo”

The "Optimizer" looks a lot like the GolfTec Optimizer they've shown in their YT videos which isn't surprising I guess. I wonder if you can edit the club settings to adjust for strong/weak lofts, etc.

 

It doesn't look like it has AoA or Dynamic Loft.  I know these can be estimated from the other parameters.  May be a deal breaker for some and not others?

AoA would have sold it for me. I've had my ST for 4 years & that's the only thing I think it needs

I'm guessing that the hardware is capable and hopefully that becomes available in a future update.

 

There hasn't been quite the race to the bottom (or no-brainer affordability) in pricing for accurate personal launch monitors that I (and no doubt many other people) had hoped for, but there is steady progress.

 

I'm sure that Mevo+ kept the BLP / GC3 pricing honest, then the release of GC3 inspired Flightscope to develop the Pro Package, the Uneekor Eye Mini undercut the GC3 and this is cheaper still.

 

There are two concerns I have. Firstly, accuracy needs to be proven via side by side testing with high end monitors.

 

Secondly, the shot delay is rather disappointing considering that this was one of the major criticisms of the OG Skytrak and processing power has come a long way since then.

Does seem a strange omission at the moment, from the website:

So it's having a stab at club path and face angle, would have thought it could easily have a stab at AofA.

 

The (less sophisticated) R10 manages to give some reasonable sounding AofA numbers.

I have the OG skytrak, I just ordered the new one after watching the above video.  I'm dying to get club path and face data.  

 

I'll probably list my original for sale on here once the new one arrives.

I know homeboy was impressed, but he can't do maths. He keeps saying "a quarter", but it's a fifth. And frankly, the ST+ didn't impress. Thing is, I'll trust the comparison with a quad side-by-side, or a Trackman. The numbers were way off, the directions mismatched… I'm sure he got the unit free, but that's a pretty big downer.

Yeah, I don't know if he set up the units correctly, but I'm not going to trust the ST+ face/path calculations until verified against a properly set up TM or X3 off a mat outdoors (because that's where we know they're most accurate).

I thought the numbers were very close and he also compared it to Mevo +, MLM2PRO and Full Swing and they all were very close.

From what i've read you do not.  The club data will come with the Driving Range, which is included with the launch monitor.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not positive, but after reading the materials, it sounds like it isn't calculating path and angle, but it is using an AI algorithm or something to precisely estimate it. I think I remembered reading something about how it should improve once it is released and they have more data, but maybe I understand that aspect.
