anyone get fitted for an OBAN shaft recently?

as the title states, but anyone hit recent obans lately? or are Obans a thing of the past?

Personally, i'd be sceptical with my fitter if he recommended me into a $350-$750 oban shaft.

I tested Obans during a recent fit. They felt incredible and performed very well. However, the Dynamic Gold X100, which I've played for years felt and performed just as well.

Fitted for a Oban Kiyoshi Gold a few years back. One of the best shafts ive tried.

I had the Kiyoshi Purple and Tour Limited. Tested the Kiyoshi Black. Great shafts but a bit outdated in terms of tech. If I'm spending more than 200 on a shaft than it's gonna be GD, MCA or Fuji these days.

Yes for irons ct 125x and currently game kyoshi purple. Really like them idk what else to say

(They feel fantastic.) Unfortunately, I've found they have issues with internal splintering near the bottom of the shaft. This issue was present with two shafts. I don't know if that means the adapter was installed incorrectly or if it's some sort of manufacturing / materials issue. At that price point, I'd hope for a little better quality or some sort of communication from the manufacturer.

I had a fitting because my old driver shaft broke in early May. Switzerland is not having a huge amount of fitters with with a wider variety of shafts. I was at a shop that is offering the standard OEM sortiment and is having a nearly completely OBAN test center collection. I did try all Kiyoshi versions and the Devolution, no Airburst.

Purple and Gold felt very flexible and dispersion was large and so the spin rates have been. Black felt strong, White was the middle way. So I went out with the Kiyoshi white, the feeling was very good and the results have been consistent.

the build for me shaft is having an other bend point from what my shaft before have had. I had to tinker with some additional weights. the standard setup was D0 Swing weight, I did push it nearly to D4 and this feels very good. We did try up to D6, the feel at impact was awesome, but the overall weight was strange.

I did a Titleist driver fitting down at Pinehurst last year. The shaft that they recommended was an Oban Devotion 6S. I picked a new one up over the winter from Dallas Golf on eBay and have been using it this year, after using GD AD DI and BB 6S in the driver the past several years. The Oban feels like it gives me a little more kick at impact - I really like it.
