Nikon 50i vs bushnell tour v6 shift

Is the bushnell that much better for the extra money cant decide what one to order.

I have the Nikon with the image stabilization and have found it to be pretty useful. At this point, I’m not sure I’d buy one without image stabilization due to my shaky hands.

I bought the v5 shift over the weekend and it would not reliably lock on to the flag. I returned it for the Nikon coolshot pro stabilized (for $50 less) and I like it much more. The image stabilization is really useful.

I have the Nikon 50i. After a year it gives me multiple distances when I shoot the flag and I don't have shakey hands. have to shoot the flag at least 5 times to make sure I have a good number. I even use my gps watch to make sure I'm in the right ballpark because I've lost all confidence with this thing.

Very disappointed with this rangefinder. Going to switch to bushnell.

I’ve had the 50i for a few rounds now and going to return it. Love how compact it is and the red font, but 1 out of 5 is off and unless I’m checking distances against my phone I don’t trust it. My buddy’s $99 rangefinder off Amazon is way better than this.

The V6 is amazing. Accurate and FAST, and easy to lock on. I’ve had mine about two months now and am very impressed. I’ve had four model Bushnell’s over about 15 or 20 years and none of them have given me any trouble. This V6 replaces a V4 which works fine but the V6 is virtually instant by comparison. I played today and was on a par five in the fairway. From 245 out all I did was a quick left to right sweep of the flag. Once! Had a reading and the buzz and red circle giving confirmation. For the first couple weeks I brought my V4 to compare readings. Every time they were either identical or a one yard difference. The V6 as previously stated was virtually instant vs the V4 while acceptably responsive was noticeably slower. I never had any problem using the V4 during drizzles (using the included “skin”). The V6 has an updated weather rating which essentially is the same as Bushnell’s finest laser. The rating for the top of the line model is good for full submersion in water for 10 or 30 seconds - not sure which. The V6 isn’t rated for submersion but has identical ratings for all other tests (time and amount of water spray force). Bottom line it’s totally waterproof unless you drop it in a pond. Great unit.
