I will admit a bias as I’ve never been a fan of his whole “majors are all that matter” schtick. IMO the guys that went knew what the consequences would be for leaving and made their choice.  They’d have to really impress to get my vote(not that my opinion really matters😏).

Quite likely you’re correct….I guess I just count wins on accredited tours.  Not team event exhibitions with a singles portion.

Not me. I dislike everything about the other tour, especially the sham team events, but I’m thinking Bruce would be a good addition to the team.

LIV wins don't count for much. Closed field, by invite only and after you kiss the man's ring. There ~8 guys on LIV that could be relevant on the PGAT, so otherwise not much competition and why a LIV win is fairly meaningless. 

 

Winning the PGA championship counts huge and BK should be on the team. If I were captain he'd be one of my captain picks.

I am not sure what a possible 2031 Ryder Cup in Spain has to do with the one this year in Italy, but sure.

 

I am not so sure that it is politics vs. circles of friendships.  I think the current top 8 are in no matter what, again, if Koepka can fall out of the top 6, he could get ousted.  None of those guys are friends with him from what has been seen.  I imagine JT, Fowler, Morikawa and Young get picked.   I actually like the Fowler pick, but JT, Young, and Morikawa are streaky putters at best, and putting wins the Ryder Cup most years.   I mean I am sure Scottie is hoping Burns plays well this week and JT.  Speith and JT have historically been a good team, but JT has looked like dog squish.

Granted red, white, and blue is not the easiest color combo to work with.

Some of those threads from the '70s (😉 see what I did there....) were era-appropriate and not so bad.  The Crenshaw "history of the game" shirts are probably the worst I've ever seen.  They are both an ugly design and fit like a trash bag (to be fair, that was the fit style of the time.)  The solid British Khaki blazers....what in the world is that nonsense LOL.

The Navy blue pinstripe pants are not so bad.....need to put those with a plain white shirt or similar and they'd look good.

 

Ralph Lauren needs to get the boot, not even relevant any more.

I thought Koepka recently won a major? You would skip him for Rickie Fowler (where has he been the last decade) and Justin Thomas? If you look at the last 5 years worth of majors, the LIV players own about 50% of them. Considering they have half the field of the PGA, that is pretty strong. Remember, Rory hasn't won one in a decade yet he is the top pick for every major for some reason. I'm saying in the next year, it will be business as usual with the PGA players wondering where Monahan found all this new money.

For our European friends here (excepting of course this year between 9/29 - 10/1), I believe in the UK these are referred to as “public” schools?   Which makes no sense to me.

It wasn't RL rain gear in 2010 at Celtic Manor. It was Sun Mountain rain gear that failed.
