Second you can't make a triple play or use the same pick X's three. You will have to make 3 separate picks.

... As a homer, I think the Bears have a good chance to cover the spread at -1 but you know, it's the Bears that had the first pick in the draft for a reason and then gave it away. Because evidently they like running a Single Wing from the 50's with a RB as their QB. So I'm gonna need a few week to see what Ebeflus/Pace have done with the team before making a dumb homer pick.

Yes it can be overwhelming at times keeping up with the posting of all the picks and lines. I think it's a great deal of fun to have a group of guys make predictions ever week and see how they end up doing against one another for an entire season. I'm a little faster at my number's tallying than I was a few years back. I am grateful to say that this week we are kicking off our 7th year of doing this.   🙂

Picks Contest 

 

We will be making 3 picks each week.

I will post the Vegas line every Monday morning and we will be using that line to make our picks.

You may pick a side or a total. For example if the line is Tampa -7 vs New Orleans and the total points are 54 you may take Tampa -7 or New Orleans +7 or you could pick Under 54 points in the game or Over 54 points. So every game has 4 different picks that you could select from. 

These are the Point Values. 

A correct pick is worth 5 points.

A tie or push is worth +2 points.

There are Zero points for a loss. 

 

Announcing the Power Play. 

You may make a Power Play ONCE EVERY 4 Weeks ONLY. 

Example: A participant sees a pick that he feels strongly about and decides to designate it his Power Play. 

If his Power Play hits he wins +20 points.

If his Power Play pushes/ties he wins +5 points.

Now if his Power Play loses he LOSES -10 points. 

Once again The Power Play can only be used by a participant once every 4 weeks. 

The Power Play is optional, you do not have to use a Power Play. 

 

3 Dark Horse picks 

Select 3 teams that you believe will exceed the total wins for the season using the Vegas line I provided.  

each correct guess wins 10 points

 

Super Bowl Future pick

Name the two teams that will appear in SB LVlll and give the total points scored in the game. If both teams make it and you are within 7 points with your total points guess you win a 25 point bonus.

That’s my bed time on days I work at 7. 
After all those late nights in the restaurant business. We are going to bed when we were in the weeds just a couple of decades ago. 
I guess you can say you haven’t really lived until you have been awake for the whole 24hr cycle. We’ve been up all night slept during the day. Now we are up before dawn and sleep before dusk. LoL 

 

I Got my big draft tonight after work, picking #1 in a ten player draft with one flex and one super flex( can start 2 QBs) in one of my flex spots.  
The chalk pick is Mahomes but some sites like J. Hurts because of the rushing yards. Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson round off the top tier of QB’s. If I take QB which based on our scoring system you almost have to, I get denied the top WR’s and Rb’s. No CMC no Ekeler, no Bijan, no Justin Jefferson, no J Chase, no Kelce. 
We get 5 pts for TD passes. This would help offset some of those rushing Qb’s like Hurts, Fields, Allen,Murray,Sam Howell, the rookie in Indy, to a small degree Mahomes, and help td dependent pocket passers like Cousins, Purdy, Goff, Burrow

Anyone who follows Fantasy sports feel free to chime in. I will check back later.

I hope the draft went well.  After mine, and we have a different league type, I was told my draft was a “C”.  The best I have ever rated post draft.  Expected record? 2-10.  If that’s a C, I can’t imagine what a D gets you.

I am a history nerd.  I believe money and organized religion are the cause of most every war ever fought.  I try to be aware and read up on women's issues.  I also am fascinated by human sexuality, and with this, the first week is upon us.

Let's look at this scientifically.  In 2022, Michigan most searched phrase was "sucking d...", and Missouri's was Hentai.  I know what one of those is, and it isn't Hentai, but I also think the coarse language of the Michiganers indicates a lack of empathy, vocabulary, and a general lack of intelligence.  If we apply this to the game this week, I see Goff saying things incorrectly and the plays will be poorly communicated and a mess.  But then there is Kelce on the other side.  That guy is a twit.  Give me Mahomes and the twit.  KC -6.5

This is a tougher one for me.  FL is a BBC state, Indiana is a furry state.  I don't fully understand the desire to be in a mascot uniform and how this translates to anything remotely enjoyable.  Anyway, the edge has to be to BBC in this one.  It is really one of the most level headed news organizations in the world.  Oddly enough, Al Jazeera in Europe is quite even handed as well.  Jax -4.5.  And without Taylor or Moss, I just don't see an upset.

 

San Fran -2 1/2           at             Pittsburgh                 41

Probably no Bosa, perhaps no Kittle, but this one really comes down to Asian v. hairy p****.  I have to say this is a really strange search for the Keystone state, or at least it seems to be to me, but who am I to say.  Can you imagine the members of Merion sitting around discussing the top rated HP videos over a gimlet and some weird sandwich with the crusts cut off?  I can't.  But I do like the way the Steelers came out of the preseason with no injuries.  I can also see the black t-shirt PGH crowd getting involved in the HP debate at the tailgate.  PGH +2.5
