So the Cowboys-Jets line has moved to Dallas -7.5 and the OU is now 42.5. Is the original line a tasty treat or a trap? Jets D took down a much better team than the Dallas D did. Dak rarely plays well when pressured. On the other hand, Zach rarely plays well at all, but he made some plays last night.

Not exactly.

 

Packers got 3 draft picks and gave the Jets 2 (all 2023).

 

Packers got a 2nd round 2024 pick that WOULD have become a 1st round pick had Rodgers played 60% of Jets' snaps this year.  That one'll now obviously be the 2nd rounder.

 

So the Pack basically lost a "round" in next year's draft.

When it comes to Packers fans, I believe you are correct that most are really plugged in. The old notion (here is where I’m gonna profile) of people in GB all bout the Packers bcs nothing else going on in GB! 😜

CINN    -7.5         Looked like crap last week, Burrows fired up. 

 

T.B.      -3            Real deal TB? Well with duh bears that will continue.

 

N.E.      +2.5       Gave up tipped 70yd int td and EE fumbled at own 25 and its 17-0 before game seemed to start. The fish won't get that next Sunday. Tight game probably last possession.

So now that we move into the second week of the season, we aren't picking completely blind anymore, we have some data we can interpret.  I'm not really liking any of these games so I think I will some what have to use the dartboard philosophy.  So for week 2 my picks are as follows:

 

In a battle of 2 rookie QB's, I was sweating bullets hoping they wouldn't spoil my Week 1 PP pick.  They didn't and the Jags proved to be the better team.  But I was impressed and I'm taking the Colts +1 versus the Texans in H Town.  Colts +1

 

This next pick comes down to have they changed the culture enough in the Motor City to not have a giant letdown after beating the defending champs at their place in the season opener.  So my pick is the Lions over the Seahawks.  Lions -5 1/2

 

The beginning of the season is generally real rough on a rookie QB, and I think that continues in Carolina this week.  The Saints have a good defense and Bryce Young's inexperience will show on Monday night.  I think Derek Carr will be more successful with the Saints than he was with the Raiders, a better team (even with Alvin Kamara suspended) and less chaos/dysfunction around him.  Saints -3
