Most of the games I watched were boring, although the Pats made a game out of what started as a blowout. Too bad they couldn’t close the deal. Niners look like the best team in the NFL after 1 week. I wish the Miami/LAC game was televised here - that looked like a great game to watch! Every time I dismiss Tua, he puts on a show like that. The Cowboys grinding the Giants and Danielle Jones into the turf was pretty boring, but still fun to watch. Dallas offense looked mediocre, especially Dak, but there was never any urgency for them. AA-Ron coming to the house next week!

It is always interesting to look at different areas of the country and decide who should win what game, and by how much.  Did you know 69% of the US population is overweight, and a full 36% are considered obese as per BMI guidelines.  Now, the actual BMI markers are not 100% accurate, so there is validity to the "size healthy" movement, but let's gets started.

I like KC here.  If the game is won in the trenches, and in the parking lot tailgating, KC and Missouri has the edge.  Missouri's obesity rate is 37.3% which putes them at #10 of the fattest states.  FL on the other hand is a low 28% and #45.  Good for FL, they are getting out and moving around, probably a lot roller skating in FL, I can see the wind flowing through the QB's hair.  It doesn't matter, KC -2.5 is the pick here.

I think it was Clara Peller asking the folks at Wendy's "Wheres the beef?"  Well, MI packs the beef.  In this matchup MI at 34.4% ranking #21 as a fat state.  WA is 28.8% ranking #44.  Not quite FL, but pretty danged good.  I have to say I am surprised by this because when it rains I tend to stay indoors and we all know it rains in WA.  Detroit looked good against KC, and I think they will keep it rolling.  Det -5.5 is the pick.

You all probably didn't watch the Higgly Town heroes, but if you did, I can assure you there are no Steelers making a cameo excepting TJ.  Using the general criteria for the picking, CLE is the obvious pick because OH is the 9th fattest state (37.7%) in the US and PA is #29 at 33.3%.  So the thinking guy has to assume CLE is the pick.  I don't pick against the Steelers because I am a fan of the team, so that leaves with the over/under of 42.5 points.  The offensive juggernaut of Matt Canada put 7 points on the board, and the CLE defense is pretty stout (see what I did there?).  I am taking the under, Under 42.5

 

This weekend will find me in the bowels of Vegas watching football on TV and losing money.  Your welcome Aen, it's people like me that keep your taxes down.

Not a 9ers fan, but gotta say. As a Bay Area resident I watch all their games. They were no doubt the most dialed in and complete team I watched yesterday. (The way the receivers block downfield should b used in the ‘how to” manual) Tons of talent on D, O and ST and so well coached. Some teams yesterday looked like they were in week 2 of training camp. 9ers look like a well tuned machine. Barring any big injuries, I will be really surprised if they aren’t in the NFC championship game. Really tuff break last season with no QB against the Eagles in the same game.
