Trugolf ball speed

How accurate is trugolf ball speed measurement on e6 connect? I started going to on eof these simulators and was wondering if the ball speed measurement is accurate. I cab say for sure the ckubhead and smash factor are useless on it. I've looked and no one says if it is accurate or not. Any input is appreciated.

I have used my GC3 to compare numbers.  There is sometimes a very large difference.  My feeling is that shots with very low side spin, normal launch angle and a path that is right down the target line are close on the Tru golf system and GC3.  Once you get some side spin etc the numbers from Tru golf can be very different.

 

On the plus side my Tru golf numbers with a 7 iron can be 200 yard carry stopping on a dime, while the GC3 shows a hook and a 130 carry.  )))

 

The E6 software makes no difference.  If you attach E6 to the GC3 they show the same.

 

The big difference is between Tru golf and the GC3.

I've tried doing this but for the life of me can't seem to make it work. Seems like the camera systems don't like each other and I won't get a reading on both at the same time. Do you find that issue?

 I do not have that problem.  The Tru golf I was using was in a dark spot (ie just the overhead light).  A few times the Tru golf will not read (the GC3 gets every shot) but that will happen on the Tru golf even if the GC3 is not in the room.

 

I have noticed that the Tru golf is very fussy on ball location ...  move the ball a bit and the numbers change

 

I looked at the Tru golf set up manual ...wow is that complicated and a bit of an art to get it set up.  And you can adjust things like ball speed so there should be some room for fine tuning a Tru golf system?

Yea, I let my installer handle that and luckily he plays golf and kinda knows his simulator numbers. There's an element of setting the algorithm correctly and then it tries to transfer to all the shots. I just think it's poor overall but we've fined tuned mine nice enough and when I play on it I don't expect specifics like on GC3 but I find it to be pretty accurate, and it's more for fun. They have that Apogee now which replaced TruFlight2 and should be better but who knows. I too keep it mostly dark and just use overhead. Weird you've never had that issue I'll have to try again.

I've found trugolf readings a bit untrustworthy but they are consistent within the bay I'm using. I do enjoy the system as it is too hot for me to want to practice or play much outside. The place I play at is talking about upgrading to the apogee, hopefully the new system will improve on what they have already.
