I doubt you'll find anywhere that's offering under 10k initiation fees for adults with kids unless it's like hearthstone country club or something. Pine Forest for young exec was 7.5k initiation, I'd guess full equity would be at least double that (so maybe not too out of your price range if you're willing to shill out a bit extra). I seem to recall that Pine Forest would nickel and dime their members though, things like paying for range balls, F&B minimum, etc. This info was over a year ago though and I know they're redoing some of the course right now so things likely have changed.

@FlaShFTW thanks for the info. I’ll take a look at hearthstone. Do you know if young exec options would make any of the clubs more attainable for the 10k range?

Highland Pines has a 3 club membership for 9k initial fee.

If you're under 30, Pine Forest will do a young exec initiation of under 10k. Not sure about under 35, I didn't get that much information from them. I would just do a google maps query of all the clubs around you and start emailing/calling them to schedule meetings and getting more information, and also trying out the course with a member to ask them questions and the like.

I'm not a member (I'm @ Bay Oaks) but my buddy belongs there. He joined through Invited. West and North tracks are solid. Palmer and Player courses can be a test. All 4 are usually in very good condition. Never played the Tournament course. 

Invited had several membership packages. The Trails (West and North with privileges for Palmer are one package. Palmer and Player with Tournament privileges is another with Palmer/Player being quite a bit higher. 

 

Now that Arcis has bought all Woodland properties, none of the members know what is going to happen.

Seconding this request. I have always been interested in this simulator business concept, and I'm excited to see it come together so close to home. Interested to learn more.

I've heard Pine Forest is $35k for full membership - going to $70k...with a waiting list right now.

I've heard that too. They're trying to push up hard into that middle-upper tier of CCs now with their rebuilding of all their 9s.

Played it a bunch and they have three 9 hole courses they rotate to keep it fun.  It is usually in good shape and pace of play is pretty good.
