Mizuno ST-G Titanium Fairway

Has anyone gotten to hit one of these bad boys yet? Any feedback/thoughts?

It sounds promising based on this review. Low spin but not too low — he is not swinging fast and he says so. Shape is classic.

It looks awesome. Looks like they based it on the Sim Ti fairway. 80g sole plate, basically the v-sole pattern.

Yep, exactly why I'm interested, especially a 3 wood haha. 
Love my OG Sim Ti 5 wood, so either will grab one of these or just pick up an old Sim Ti in 3 wood

Have you hit this new model?  None of the shops around me have any in stock yet.  From the pics, they look unbelievable!

Got my ST-G fairway wood with ADDI 7X built up over the weekend

 

went to the range today and it a high flying bomber. Sounds and feels fantastic, too. Cannot wait to get it on the course Wednesday and Thursday!

 

Ever since I cracked the face of my G410 LST fairway wood I have been searching for a proper replacement. The  G425 LST was okay but did nothing for me. The 430 LST has my interest until they announced the price

 

Been gaming the Cobra Aerojet, but just not finding a groove with it. 
 

The face on the ST-G is definitely a little deeper, but I just love the way it looks down behind the ball

Ready to hear more about this one.  See if it can beat out the stealth. It is expensive though.  Michael Newton had a video out with a comparison with the stealth 2 and ping g430 lst. Dispersion was better with the stg but a little shorter.

iirc, mizuno was higher spinning, which is typical.

Looks good but is almost identical to Sim2 ti heads.

I have. I am a super big fan of the looks and feel. I was not swinging great that day so results are unusable.

Nice. How's it compare to the Paradym, and any other woods you've played?
Asking as I could be able to compare. 

I'd be buying the Mizuno without getting to hit it.

Sim2 Ti were what they replaced.  The STG driver replaced my Stealth 2+ also!

Really nice first round with it. An absolute launcher off the tee without being too low spin and gets off the deck in a hurry! Playing in a scramble tomorrow so it will get another good test.

Saw a guy hit one 265 at a fitting day without even a warmup swing. High and straight. He told the fitter it felt good. Pretty impressive.

So I had Stealth 2 Plus, loved it, so of course when the G430 LST came out I swapped for the LST. HATED the LST, just felt dead, sounded dead, did not launch like the Stealth, but looked more forgiving and probably was a bit more forgiving. Traded the LST in today for the STG. To me the STG fits right in between the Stealth and the LST. Slightly bigger looking and more friendly feeling than the Stealth. Waaaay better sound/feel than the LST. I think the Stealth might edge it on sound and feel, just barely, but haven't hit the STG outside yet. The face height is great, I have tried and tried and tried the PING fairways and just can't do the shallow face, it just plays tricks on my mind and I swing terrible with them. Was getting 150-154 ballspeed off the deck which is pretty hot for me. Carry on the monitor was 240 to 254 off the deck pretty consistently which I will take all day. Love the shape.

Hit mine outside today. It has a unique hollow sound/feel to it, more so on mishits which I was living on the toe today. I would say it sounds/feels similar to the Stealth 2 plus when the weight is all the back. Stealth 2 plus with the weight forward is definitely the best sound/feel, IMO.

Anything on the difference in distance, accuracy and forgiveness?

These are mostly just my opinion, and not a ton of difference in performance between all 3 for me. And I played the stealth 2 with the weight forward, so could have made it more forgiving. I think the stealth might be the safest buy because it has so much adjustability…but also not safe since a new version will probably be coming in ~2 months.

Got out this weekend for a couple of range sessions, when hit well it is a rocket launcher. Has a unique sound, kind of like a hollowed out wooden baseball bat where when you hit it on the sweet spot feels great, but mis-hits not as much. Have yet to hit it outside with a proper golf ball, so maybe its just the range rocks. I have it with Hzrdus Green Stiff and it is pretty sweet, but of course I'm scheming on what a replacement shaft might be if I can get a black friday deal, lol.
