LIV Golf Miami - Team Event Showdown

The Team finale starts today with the Quarterfinal rounds, which are teams 5-12 in the standings.  Teams 1-4 get a bye.  The format is two singles matches, and one foursome (alternate shot) match.  Tee off is 1:15PM Eastern, 10:15AM Pacific.

too bad I can't find a way to watch it for free , I feel like if you want to build an audience you need to kinda make it available even if a loss leader at first.

I said it at the inception and will say it again. Has an individual sport ever flourished in a team format??? Professional tennis tried it (actually might still be going on 🤷🏼‍♂️) and there is a reason nobody knows. 😂 And oh yeah, how can I not mention team bowling 🎳 Anyway, to all interested, enjoy 😊

My YoutubeTV just got CW or just got LIV or something. Anyway I stumbled upon and watched the coverage from Jeddah last weekend. It might not be LIV's fault and just the nature of the venue, but wow there was no energy. It was so hard to watch. My wife, who happens to like watching golf, said it was terrible and turn it off, and we watch almost every PGA tournament, even the smaller events going on right now. Match play plus being in Miami might be more exciting, but watching the players giggle and have a good time knowing how much money they are making with an empty venue just feels odd. I really like watching Bryson, DJ, and Cam so I was happy to try to watch them. 

 

However, knowing the athletes are competing for their livelihood or for whatever prestige there is in winning the event feels better to watch as a fan. Rich dudes who already made their names having fun on the course is not compelling to me. But good for them and good for anyone who does enjoy watching it.

I shouldn't have laughed, but bringing up Lucas Glover's wife getting drunk and beating him if he didn't win was just so far out of bounds I've never heard anything like that on a broadcast.

That's because it's provokingly uninteresting. It's as if someone straight out of the blue posted the scores from their buddies trip. The scores are of course meaningless to anyone not directly involved, what might stir some interest is why the poster thought anyone would care.

I'm just trying to suggest that all of us are capable of - and should - be living to a higher standard.

I'm interested in Troy Mullins and Su-Ann. Unfortunately since I'm big, fat, ugly and bald they aren't interested in me.

Shoot your shot. You never know what the other person is in to. They may have fat, ugly, bald fathers which subconsciously established what they look for in a future partner. You may be that fat cuddly teddy bear they've always dreamed of. Alternatively, if you're filthy rich and/or packing heat, those other things don't matter 😉
