Nike VR, weak loft or not to stretch bag?

Hello. 
 

Got myself a decent pair of Nike Vr proII and them being weaker lofted already got my thinking about ”tiger spec” them. 
 

i want to get rid of my 4iron and replace it with a 7w but doing this I have two options

 

1. Use them stock, bend the 50° to 51-52 and take out the 4 iron. 
2. Bend them to Tiger spec and remove the 50° wedge, possibly get a smidge more bounce and stick a 7w on there. 
 

The 4-5 irons are kinda small so taking out one of them seems like a no-brainer but, the set is short as it is so there will be a gapping issue from iron to 7w. Using option two give me a little extra loft.

 

Also thinking of putting AMT shafts in them to maybe get a small ballspeed boost in the long irons to help the distance. 
 

Good? Bad?

I played VR Pro blades for 8 years, and considered them to have "standard" lofts.

A 7 wood should already be longer than a 4 iron, and should gap good to the stock lofted 4 iron.

 

The last year I had them, I put AMT White S300's in them. Made the long irons easier to swing, and higher launching. I just put AMT's in my current irons, really like them.

7 iron longer than a 4 iron!?  I know what site this is but jesus 🤣

Sounds what Im after, just a tiny bit extra launch on them so its effortless. 
 

The thing is I have to remove clubs as I have 14 today. Driver-3-5w, 4-P 50-56-60. 
 

So its either a 27° 5iron or a 25° 4iron that gaps to the 7wood. 

 

Im more worried about being slightly short on the long irons due to harder to hit and then the 7w is a rocketship being easy to hit. 
 

However, its butterknifes. Almost like Im tempted to find the ”combo” 4-5 iron or fill out with p7mc. 
 

Not that those irons see alot of use anyway but I want to trust the bag I got

NEW BAG:

Driver-3-5w, 3-P 54-60. 

 

Bend the PW to 48, Get a 54 degree sand wedge or bend the 56 strong.

Ha.  I think what was being  suggested is adding a 21-22 degree iron, which is a traditional 3 iron loft - modern 4 iron.  Loft for loft it’s the same not inherently harder to hit.

 

in reality most people that are playing todays 4 - gw are rallying playing what was a traditional 3 - pw.  It’s mostly psychological that people have “dropped a 3 iron”

The last 3 years I played my VR Pro blades, I dropped the 21° 3 iron. I found it considerably less reliable than the 24° 4 iron. I replaced it with an 18° Honma TW-X which was actually far easier to hit.

That was my line of thinking, but if someone doesn't want to hit a bladed 3 iron that's totally up to them. I have in the past, but I definitely played for the roll out. Was not "optimal".

How do these compare to the p7tw?? Anyone able to compare the two? Have hard the vr pro are very soft whereas the 7tw are firm.
