Titleist quality control

Has any else experienced quality issues with Titleist lately? I’ve had two t200 2 irons have the head come off while playing, and looks like little to know epoxy was applied both times.

It could be just a bad batch of epoxy.

 

Titleist had a run of T200 clubs that had the same problems.

Easy fix pards.  Just glad that the heads didn't fly into a water hazard. 👍

Only issues I've experienced in recent years are a slightly mis-cut iron shaft that was a bit short, and the weight slider on my TSr3 driver is glitchy and basically has to be taken apart entirely in order to move the weight. But as you can see from my signature, I'm basically a Titleist fanboy and part of the reason is the consistency and quality control of their products. They are still among the best in the industry. 

 

Ping might be even better, even though they have had other issues in recent years. Of the big OEMs, the worst by far IMO is TaylorMade.

Over the years I had to correct a number of Vokey wedges with inaccurate lofts and lies.

Picked up my TSR2 package from FedEx to see that the box was partly crushed up top by the grip/handle. I crossed my fingers and opened the box and was happy to see that it was all in one piece. 
 

I looked closely and noticed that there was a few scratches on the face that didn’t seem to be related to the smashed box damage. Titleist wrapped part of the head/face with plastic, but the part that was not wrapped was damaged. 
 

I’m not sure why they wouldn’t completely cover it, but it could have prevented the damage. I know it’s cosmetic, but it’s a little disappointing to get a brand new club damaged from the factory before taking my first swing. I didn’t want to deal with shipping it back and forth as I am sure my first dirty ball will do similar wear. But I think they could have done better with the packaging. The headcover was wrapped and protected nicely. 😂

My coach got irons with the wrong shafts about 2 weeks ago. They sent him the right ones pretty quickly after.

Not really but have found the lofts off slightly in their forged irons.

New T300s for this senior. The swingweights were dead on from 5i through 48* wedge through the whole set. I was amazed. The set of Callaway XHot Pros they replaced varied by a swingwerght and a half.

The chrome bubbled up and peeled off the back of a T300 5 iron after 12 rounds. Shucked that set and bought some JPX Forged. Happy now as I really don't get along with SGI clubs
