Well. I appreciate that.  I don’t feel so out of touch now !  🤣. Lawyer shows are one of the TV compromises my wife and I can both agree to.  She hates action , I hate soap operas.  Lawyer shows give you a little of both I guess.

‘Lincoln Lawyer’ on Netflix is prob worth checking out then blade’.

I saw that one while scrolling through netflix, but didn't give it much thought. Just watched the official trailer, and it definitely will go on the watch list.

Absolutely my point.  🤣. 
 

I watched a couple clips. Looks well done. I don’t know when I’ll watch it. Cause it’s definitely not wife approved. I’m having a hard time getting her to agree to watch new season of 1923 when it comes back on. And she saw the first one. It’s not that I can’t put my foot down and claim the living room by nature of the “ dad rules act of 2001 “. It’s that I’m a peacemaker by nature. And our only time together usually is same time that might include TV. We do other things during down time. But if one is watching tv. Usually the other is to. That means I read a lot. 🤣

We finished Suspicion on Apple TV last night, so American Primeval is our next watch. I'd venture a guess we will finish it this weekend. 

 

Recently, we've watched:

 

Dark Matter - interesting show

Black Bird - pretty good one, based on true story

Troy: Fall of a City - decent, nothing particularly special about it. 

The Last Night at Tremore Beach - Foreign show dubbed over, not bad. 

Slow Horses - MI5 rejects basically. We started it, but havent finished. 

Servant - Only watched 1 season so far. It is weird. Neither of us were really into it, but it was like a train wreck, once we started it we couldn't walk away. There's 4 seasons. I would imagine we might go back and start season 2 if we run out of other shows, but my wife has amassed quite the watch list, so only time will tell. 

Tulsa King - probably the worst show Taylor Sheridan has made to date. Watched all of it so far, wish I could have that time back. 

Average Joe - Sort of funny, comedy drama show. 

Stay Close - pretty good psycoological drama show. 

 

I like comedy shows, my wife prefers mystery and dramas, so we watch mostly mystery and dramas, lol. 

 

When we moved, we cancelled our cable. I do pay monthly for Hulu Live so we have means to watch the Majors, of course, but aside from that, I couldnt tell you the last time we watched live TV. We rotate between Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV and Paramount+. We have a tendency to start a show and just binge it until we finish. A single season usually lasts us 2 maybe 3 days unless it's the weekend, then it's usually one day (we dont get out much anymore, lol).

We started (and finished) American Primeval on Friday. Wild show for sure. They kind of left it so that it could either end there or pick back up.  I prefer that. I can’t stand shows that one season ends with you thinking they’ve left it teed up for another season and that next season never comes.

Damages is another good one. Limited run from FX, but I'd guess it's available OnDemand.

 

The Practice as well if you want to kick it back a few more years.

"100 Foot Wave" on HBO. Doc focused on guy who put big wave surfing from Portugal on the map. Insane the brassies these men & women have to do this stuff. 5' of wave on body board is plenty for me, these guys are riding 60-80 foot waves. Crazy.

Started Paradise on Hulu last night. So far, so good.

If you’ve never seen the Get Shorty series, it’s now available on the Roku channel. I watched it years ago, but only season 1. I’m rewatching season 1 in prep for season 2 and because I don’t remember much about it, other than the general outline of the story. It is outstanding and hysterical! Chris O’Dowd and Ray Romano are perfectly cast. Highly recommended.

 

The movie with Travolta was ok, but nowhere near as good as the series, IMO.

Great show altho hard to watch at times. Makes Taylor Sheridan stuff look like Disney or Lifetime! If there is a second season it could even be a prequel.
