No, to play it. I love it from a TV perspective also, but admittedly probably moreso because I have played it quite a few times.

It's finally nice to see these guys have 180-200 yard approaches into some of those par 4s.  12, 13, 15 are so tough and 2, 3, 9, 10 are no bargains either.  It's a tough course for sure.  It's one of those courses where I can envision just about every hole without looking at a scorecard.   Plus some of those pins are so well guarded either by trees or bunkers.  The US Open there is going to be one hell of a test and not the near snoozefest of last year.

Almost certain my son and I will volunteer for the US Open at RIV! Will be incredible.

Riviera and Dove Canyon are my two favorite SoCal courses.  I had the opportunity to play Riviera twice.  Once in a tournament back when I played on my college team and another time when one of my father's clients invited us.  Mind you this was over 20 years ago.  Narrow tree lined fairways and bumpy poa greens make it a tough track.

Yeah.  This was when Dove was in better condition than it is now.  I'm a sucker for Nicklaus design courses.  I've played a lot of SoCal courses.  Probably close to 60.

Riv is one of the best courses in the world and it could be even better if they did a restovation.  Best tourney on the tour outside of majors imo.

I've always wondered how the look of the course changes when the bare trees have leaves in the summer.  We'll get to see when the Open comes.
