"ignore the temptation" he says.... do you have some sort of self-discipline impulse control secret that the rest of us don't know about????

I wish I did. But I am going to probably go hit them tomorrow after work. One reason I didn’t get them yet is because of the shortage of the KBS $taper shaft but I think that’s old news. They should be all stocked up by now

I just picked up a new set of T150’s didn’t even get the wrapper off and now I’m hearing all these great things about the 243. I have been a mizuno iron guy for years. Just hopped in the Titleist train last year with the T100S. Traded up for the T150 now second guessing my decision.
I didn’t even swing the 243.
Should I just ignore the temptation?? Dang this sucks. IMO you can’t really go wrong with either one. But that is true nothing feels like a mizuno

lol.  The 150s are awesome too.  Both great sets.

Acting on looks, feel, and logic (?) I progressed from MP 33's to MP 64's.  Recently I started playing the 33's for the heck of it and very surprisingly discovered that for me they were more forgiving than the 64's. I'm not a total fan of Maltby but I checked and the 33's are indeed better rated.

But then, a friend recently got a set of ZX 5's and suddenly his iron game improved significantly.  I decided to try the Srixons and was astounded at the huge increase in predictably consistent high flight, dispersion, and especially distance control.

Keeping the 33's as my fun set, because I do love everything about them, but I'm now only playing about 5 times a month and the superior Srixon combo ZX5/ZX7 technology consistently yields iron shots  like I used to get when I was playing 12 to 15 times a month with a good amount of range time as well.

I played ZX7 for 2 full years (the prior version).

They are awesome irons as well.  Super forgiving.  They just didn't spin enough for me and I hit them relatively low.  In the end I decided to move on.  The Long Irons ran out and I found the long irons not forgiving enough even though they were on the larger sit.  The Mid and Short Irons are money.

lol honestly man. I hit 3 shots walked inside and said Ill take 4-Gap please.

I actually feel amazing about my purchase.  I'm so pumped for 2024.  I'm about to order a TSR3 Driver and TSR2 Fairway. Titleist Woods work for me like the Mizuno Irons work for me.

The wedges look amazing but I"m certain Ill pick up some Sm10 at some point as well lol.

I did the same thing lol. We also have almst the same bag TSR3 driver, TSR2 3W im stuck g430 7w or TSR2 7w (that clubs just hot ans super small) 243 4-P 1 degree weak and i dumped the t24 wedges went 50-55-60 in RTX 6

I find it funny that last time around so many people were trashing the looks of the 223's, and now everyone is in love with the 243's. Honestly I think the 223's look better, but I'd have no problem playing either.

Of course the 243's aren't available in lefty 😑

I feel the 223s dont look or perform nearly as good. the gapping was off for my swing speed.

I am honestly still not in love with the looks of the back of the 243. At address they look fantastic. If something wows me with performance and it butt ugly ill grab a paper bag and go to town. Though the 243 is still a good looking iron, just not nearly as good looking as the 241.

Finally hit the 243s yesterday. It was in EW indoors off mats (which I hate), but they felt fantastic and seemed more forgiving than my current MP 20 MMCs.

Just not sure they're 1300 better than my current irons. I'll probably hold out and pick up a slightly used set on ebay or wait for Mizuno demo day at my club so I can hit them off grass.

Either way, Mizuno nailed it with the 243s

Try PXG 0317T, I just finished 7 weeks of fittings and iron testing. I thought I was going to be playing Srixon MkII zx5, but two PXG fittings later I pulled the trigger on the 0317T’s with Steelfiber shafts. 1/2 long, 2° flat, these things look phenomenal laying on the ground at address. I’ve only got 27 holes on them and they appear to be at least one club longer then my current gamers ping i210.

People have no idea how good these really are.  I’ve been playing them since they were introduced in September.  They have helped me become much better with my irons.

Have a look here at the end of the ZX7 review:

https://www.todays-golfer.com/equipment/golf-clubs/irons/srixon/zx-mk-ii/srixon-zx-mk-ii-irons/

There is data comparing performances of many similar clubs.  If I were to pick something other than the 0317 T, for me, I’d look seriously at the ZX7 and T150.

I’m all in on looks and feel. But, I need a club to help my weaknesses and compliment my strengths in addition to making me feel good.

I agree that the back of the 223's look better than the 243's. When fitting myself, I wanted the 245's to work better for me because I think they look better in the bag than the 243's.. and they're more forgiving. I ended up replacing the T150's (which I think is the nicest looking iron in the bag right now) with the 243's because the performance was undeniable.

Totally agree!  I hit almost all the 2024 players heads and the 243s are just the best overal. Feel, sound forgiveness is unreal hit one 20mm low and 11mm heel and still flew it 175 and hit the green. (7i swing speed is 98-100) but either way they just amazing if i had to list and order id go

1. 243

2/3. Blueprint S

2/3. T150 those 2 could be 2/3

Had my first real indoor range session with these yesterday.  Very happy with my selection.  They feel incredible and other than the hosel they are forgiving enough.

I did struggle mighty with the 4 iron though. The I230 4 iron was noticeably easier to hit.   Small trade off for the other positives though.

Im considering ditching the 4 iron and going 3 hybrid 4 driving iron combo this year.

hit the T150s and 243s off grass today.
Both were amazing.

I actually found the T150s easier to hit in the 3-5 Irons.  The Mizunos shine 6-Gap.  These are both amazing sets of irons!

I'll start the year with the Mizunos and Im sure the T150s will see the bag at some point.
