Diamana Whiteboard or Grafalloy Axis

Preference? Convince me!

I just want to know from you all out there who have tried the two shafts some feedback on both shafts. I have the diamana whiteboard in a Burner TP and it does what I hoped it would do, lower launch and lower spin. Just wanna know what you guys think about both these shafts. Feedback would be nice good or bad on each............

Whiteboard...and it ain't close. That Axis shaft is a POS!!!

 

Now, the Whiteboard won't work unless you need to lower your launch angle and your backspin. If you have trouble getting your launch angle above 13 degrees, this shaft will kill your distance because it is designed to launch low and lower backspin.

 

Great shaft for the right person. The Grafalloy Axis is a POS...simple as that. JMHO and experience

You must be one of the few who thinks the Axis is a "POS". Do you think you might be able to give Pogioge4 a little bit better explanation as to why you think it's such a terrible shaft? I think he might be looking for an answer with a little bit more technical input. We all know the whiteboard is a money shaft, so no argument there, but from what I hear the axis is a pretty nice shaft also.

My experience has been that it doesn't perform any better than any -$100 shaft. I have pulled 3 of them from customers who had all kinds of spin issues with people who had high swing speeds. There is a reason that no one has them, just not worth $250.

 

It may work for you, but as it has been said before...when comparing the Whiteboard it isn't even in the same category.

can't speak for the axis, but the whiteboard is by far the best shaft i have played. i am or should i say was a highball hitter. now my ball flight is down and i am getting some roll. i know it's expensive, but it performs as advertised.

Aside from some personal opinions of people that haven't played the shaft, you should see a mid to low ball flight with Axis. It's low torque, but does not feel harsh. In our opinion the Smart-ply technology is more efficient for producing energy transfer, shaft stability, reduction of spin, preventing shaft ovalization, and our testing has shown its the longest shaft Grafalloy has developed. The #1 player in the world was quoted as saying he hit it 15 yards further than his gamer Diamana a couple years ago when he tested it. Like any shaft, it must be a fit to your swing in order to perform. Sometimes ill fit players are quick to discount the merits of technology and shaft designs so take what you hear with a grain of salt. I'm not sure where you are located, but check www.tttourconcept.com for a dealer near you and feel free to ask around for their opinion.

The Axis is a pretty darn good shaft that you never hear about.

 

In Trackman comparison to 8 top dollar shafts, including Matrix/Diamana Blue(not White)/Aldila(pre-Vs Proto)/GD the Grafalloy Axis gave me the most distance/lowest spin in a Nakashima head. The Nak head allowed for shaft to shaft comparison with it's screw in hosel.

The Axis shaft is far from a POS. I had one in a 905R and killed it. The shaft really plays well, and I did hit it farther than a bunch of other shafts. I agree with Asleep, it is rarely talked about. If you have the opportunity to hit it, I think you will be pleased with it.

Your review on the 905R/Axis convinced me to pick up an Axis and throw it in my 905R. I think it will be a beast.
