KBS CT TOUR PUTTER SHAFT

Any of you guys have any info and reviews on this putter shaft. I am thinking about getting one because my putter is a Ping Anser g2b witch is a 370gram head. I feel like my current putter shaft is a little on the soft flex soft side. I am using a stepless True Temper

I put one in 2 different putters that I have. Not really sure what kind of insight to provide for putter shafts. I've never put them through any monitoring but from what I can perceive, putts feel more solid in my hands. Especially one off center strikes. My short putting has improved a bit and I feel like my lag putting is a bit more solid. Again, this is all my perception and anecdotal. I have no actual testing numbers to back any of it up

I played a CT Tour for quite a few years, and liked it. Then I put a GPS in, and like it a LOT more.

I have one in my Cobra Nova and really like it.  Which witch is which? 😁

Have CT tour in both an Odyssey Metal X Milled 6 and ProType 6- very solid feel and definitely helps with distance control on longer putts for me compared to softer, stock shafts. Tried because one of few lower torque putter shafts that was readily available to fit over hosel, for flowneck putters and quite honestly, because price was not as high as some other aftermarket putter shaft options.

Not sure why, but my speed control is much better.

KBS CT is my go to shaft for putters with an insert. A ton of stability and feedback for a good price. Haven't found a graphite putter shaft I like yet.

Was wondering about that. Feel like the insert makes it soft already, so the CT tour could give some of that feedback back with better stability as well. With a non-insert guessing I'd prefer a graphite that makes it feel softer. Decisions, decisions.

I personally felt the KBS One Step felt far better than the CT tour. The CT felt kind of dead to me... but I can see it feeling great to some

Stepless shafts will give you more feedback for sure. I had CT Tour in a milled putter and found it a little harsh. As @jaffabell suggested, One Step will feel smoother and a nice upgrade option if you are looking to stay with steel. Otherwise graphite will also provide a more muted feel. Can be a delicate balance between the right amount of feedback and preferred feel.

Thanks! I had the BGT stability before which many seem to consider more harsh, but putted well with it. Have an AI one milled right now that I'm considering putting a new shaft in. If it was a truly milled putter I'd probably put the Tour GPS in it.

This is a great answer and reflective of my experience as well. The easiest way to describe it for me is I can take an insert face that makes any ball feel like an old balata and with this shaft it firms that feel up significantly. Not to where it begins to feel "clicky" but solid which for me results in much better distance control on fast greens.
