I grabbed the buy 5 get 1 free deal.  In hindsight, I probably should have just ordered 6 for the free shipping.  No complaint with the ball.  Cover has been fine, and performs great.  I have played just about every ball out there.  All prices for DTC balls are going up.  I did want to try the new TM ball this year, but cant pass on the bang for your buck.

Looks like they dropped the pro zero. I play it, so it looks like I’ll be switching balls once I run out.  Good thing I have 7 boxes left.

New website and packaging are excellent. I can eventually see Vice as a store line as well as DTC. They just need to sign some tour pros.

Some smaller golf shops sell them too.  The local one that's about 5 minutes away from my place has the Pro and Pro Plus in their inventory.

As I'd expect from balls of similar construction using similar (if not identical) materials built at the same factory - there just doesn't seem to be much of a case to say one doesn't perform as well as the other based on robot testing.  With numbers this close - and with the pricing essentially the same - I'd take the decision down to either Ball Lab testing results or aesthetics.

 

Of course - this discussion has essentially become moot - until the next round of robot testing in 2025 - since the new vice balls will not be tested until then - at least by one source.

At my age and at the rate I am losing distance, I need every yard I can get out of a ball. Additionally, I bought a dozen of the Maxfli Tour, and they just did not perform as well for me on the course as both Vice Balls (Pro and Pro Plus) do. The thing is, I wanted to like the Maxfli balls for the convenience of being able to stop at a nearby Dicks to pick up more when needed.

Play what works for you and not something some media site is trying to promote for money reasons IMO. They've had a willy for Maxfli for a while, complete joke of a site.

I got plenty of balls but I ordered Pro and Pro Plus to see which one would fit me better.

I only recently started playing in the last year, how much did the vice balls used to be? at 33$ plus tax and shipping it feels like its encroaching into the AVX price range

When I started buying them a handful of years back, I seem to recall the 5 dozen taking it down to 27.99 per dozen. They seem to go up a few bucks every year or so.

 

They're not really competitors to the AVX. The pro and pro plus are more competitors to the Pro V1 and Pro V1x.

AVX is 55 before taxes.  Pro/Pro Plus is 35 before taxes but if you buy in bulk, it gets cheaper so no, it's not even close to AVX pricing.

I tried a dozen of the Pro Drip in Green and Yellow. I thought they were fine, though I used them mostly in the winter before everything greened up.

My cousin has the drip balls and honestly, they look like dirty balls.  I think they're harder to see compared to white or yellow balls.
